Spring 2019 Wednesday Lincoln Park Turf Coed Rec Flag Football – Week 2

Legion of Boom (2-0) v. Plain White TD’s (1-1) – Wednesday, April 03, and 2019

Legion of Boom and Plain White TD’s competed in an absolute shoot-out, totaling 74 points. By the score of 48-26, Legion of Boom got a dominant win to stay undefeated on the campaign.  If Legion of Boom keep playing like this, they’re sure to find find themselves near the top of the standings, as these guys are the highest-scoring team in the league early on this season.  QB Mike Migut threw three TDs, and QB Kerry threw one finding Tomas Ross, Kerry, Zay Neely, Richard each for one of them and Mike rushed in one on his own.  Plain White TD’s really were unable to get rolling on offense in this one, scoring less than their total from their first game.  In the loss for Plain White TD’s, QB Jeremy Renda threw two touchdowns hit Steven Cregan and Peter O’Connor each for one touchdown and ran in two on his own.  Legion of Boom will attempt to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 3. 3rd and Schlong (2-1-0) are next on the docket for Legion of Boom.   As for Plain White TD’s next on the calendar is Accounts Playable (2-0-0) as they strive to rebound.

 

No Punt Intended (1-1) v. Wilson (0-2) – Wednesday, April 03, and 2019

No Punt Intended and Wilson matchup totaled 56 points.  No Punt Intended put 34 on the board and held Wilson to 22 points.  QB Justin threw four touchdowns, passing to Ryan Hooper, Wendy Steiner, Dani, and Ricky each for one of them and rushed in one on his own.  Wilson were unable to get rolling in this one, scoring less than their total from their Week 1 contest.  For Wilson, in the loss, QB Lindsey Lasater and Tom Bolle each threw one touchdown while Trevor Staroske caught both touchdowns.  For No Punt Intended, every game is a crucial opportunity to grab wins early on.  Next up is a showdown with EDDIE MONEY (0-1-0).   As for Wilson next on the calendar is Salty Sack (0-2-0) as they strive to bounce back.

 

Accounts Playable (2-0) v. INDY Team #8 (1-1) – Wednesday, April 03, and 2019

By the score of 25-12, Accounts Playable got a big win to stay undefeated on the campaign.  This team really showed some grit in this one, emerging victorious, even after scoring less than they posted in their opening game.  QB Michael Scherpenberg threw one touchdown, which was caught by Kevin Kohler and ran for two more.  INDY Team #8 really were unable to get rolling in terms of scoring in this one, scoring less than their total from their first game.  During the loss, QB Jamie Penk hit Ken for one touchdown.  Exiting week 2, Accounts Playable will look ahead to keep their early season momentum.  Plain White TD’s (1-1-0) are next on the schedule for Accounts Playable.   As for INDY Team #8 they’ll move on to a throw down against ChicaGo Badgers (2-0-0) as they try to rebound.

 

Jackie Moons (1-1) v. Bad News Bears (0-2) – Wednesday, April 03, and 2019

Jackie Moons and Bad News Bears were very evenly matched in this Game.  The final score of 27-21 reflects the hard work Jackie Moons put into every minute of the game.  QB Daniel Vilardo passed three TDs and QB Joy McVicker passed one, passing to Jeremy Vasquez for two of them while Michael Vilardo and Oliver each caught one.  They really brought their best to stop Bad News Bears in this game in spite of the loss, allowing less points than they gave up in their opening contest.  For Bad News Bears, QB Anthony Papa threw three touchdowns hitting Terry Muldoon, Joe Austria, Claire Jolcover each for one touchdown.  Jackie Moons will look to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 3. Next up is a throwdown with Accounts Playable (2-0-0).   For Bad News Bears they will have a showdown against Flaggin’ Ball Z (1-1-0) as they strive to get to the win column.

 

ChicaGo Badgers (2-0) v. Flaggin’ Ball Z (1-1) – Wednesday, April 03, and 2019

ChicaGo Badgers and Flaggin’ Ball Z competed in an absolute air tight shoot-out, totaling 64 points. The final score of 33-31 reflects the hard work ChicaGo Badgers put into every minute of the game.  These guys really stepped up in this game, topping their first game point total. QB Cal Ehrke passed four touchdowns, hitting Chris Thompson for two of them and rushed in one on his own.  Even with this loss, Flaggin’ Ball Z are one of the higher scoring teams in the league for the year, averaging 39.50 points per game.  In the loss for Flaggin’ Ball Z, QB Tom Larson hit Connie Syhabandith for one touchdown and Dre for another, he also ran in three on his own.  Exiting week 2, ChicaGo Badgers will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. 3rd and Schlong (2-1) v. EDDIE MONEY (0-1) – Wednesday, April 03, and 2019

3rd and Schlong and EDDIE MONEY combined for an offensive explosion totaling 65 points. 3rd and Schlong put 34 on the board and held EDDIE MONEY to 31 points.  3rd and Schlong really stepped up, exceeding their average of 23.30 ppg.  QB Anthony threw two touchdowns, finding Kirby for all of them and rushed in three on his own.  Despite losing, EDDIE MONEY has significant amounts of games to go back to the drawing board on the offensive side of the ball.  In the loss for EDDIE MONEY, QB Clayton Sanger hit Bri for two touchdowns and rushed for two more.  For 3rd and Schlong, every contest is a crucial game to get in a groove as the season gets going. 3rd and Schlong (2-1) v. Salty Sack (0-2) – Wednesday, April 03, and 2019

3rd and Schlong and Salty Sack were extremely evenly matched in this match-up. The final score of 18-13 reflects the hard work 3rd and Schlong put into every minute of the game.  3rd and Schlong showed some fight in this game, emerging victorious, despite scoring less than their avg. points per game of 23.30.  Their D got the job done as well.  Salty Sack were unable to get rolling in this game, scoring less than their total from their first contest.  During the loss for Salty Sack, QB Eric Berg hit Nico Smith for one touchdown.  3rd and Schlong will try to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 3. Next up is a throwdown with Legion of Boom (2-0-0).   For Salty Sack they will have a contest against Wilson (0-2-0) as they look to come back from this one.
