Daddy FC (4-3-1) vs. FC Hiscox (1-6) – Tuesday, June 11, 2019

In this Quarter-Final game, Daddy FC took on FC Hiscox and defeated them 2-0. This win advanced Daddy FC to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. Scoring for the victors was the combination of Andre and Caithlan. The exciting recap of that game is below. FC Hiscox were unable to get rolling in this one and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. FC Hiscox had a difficult run this season, and they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs.

2 Goals 1 Cup (2-6) vs. Velvet Taquitos (1-3-3) – Tuesday, June 11, 2019

It was an exciting Quarter-Final match-ups, in which, 2 Goals 1 Cup squeaked by with a 1-point win against Velvet Taquitos, finishing 4-3. Velvet Taquitos really didn’t have their best showing on defense in this one, allowing more goals than their average of 2.0 GAPG this year. For the winners, their offense came from two goals from Oscar Gonzalez and one goal apiece from Alberto and Eduardo Mendoza. The losing team still had notable players including Nick Stuedemann, TIberiu Stan, and Gurdeep Nagi, who all put in one goal for Velvet Taquitos. Velvet Taquitos’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule.  The win for 2 Goals 1 Cup meant a straight shot to semi-finals. They played this game immediately following the quarter-final game. The recap below tells you all about it.

Yeoville (6-1) vs. 2 Goals 1 Cup (2-6) – Tuesday, June 11, 2019

Yeoville were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 99 goals last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #1 seed playing the #9 seed, 2 Goals 1 Cup. They played well and took the win to advance to Semi-Finals. 2 Goals 1 Cup had a double header this week. This was the tougher match of the two, and they now sit in 9th place in the standings. Alberto scored the only goal for 2 Goals 1 Cup to save them from a shutout. Socring for the victors was the combination of Katie Hopkins, Ernesto Fernandez, and Paull Illuzi. 2 Goals 1 Cup is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon. The win for Yeoville means a ticket to semi-finals. They’re scheduled to play the # seed, . Whichever team emerges as the winner will advance to the championship game.

Daddy FC (4-3-1) vs. Chubby Alonsos (4-1-2) – Tuesday, June 11, 2019

In this exciting 1-point Quarter-Final games, Daddy FC, the #5 seed upset the #2 seed, Chubby Alonsos with a final score of 3-2. This is Chubby Alonsos’s first loss of the season. In the win, the combination of John, Trey, and Andrew scored the winning three goals. The losing team still had notable players including Femi Aboloye and Victor, who both kicked one goal for Chubby Alonsos. Hopefully the loss doesn’t haunt Chubby Alonsos too much. Soccer Scrubs (5-2) vs. INDY Team #6 (2-4-1) – Tuesday, June 11, 2019

Heading into this Quarter-Final games, INDY Team #6 were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 3 goals last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #2 seed playing the #7 seed, INDY Team #6. They just barely took the win to advance to Semi-Finals on penalty kicks. Stewart Henzi and Lynn Lazzeretti scored in penalty kicks, but it was not enough to overcome the three goals from Brandon Niedert, Michael DeRenzo, and Abigail Niedert. Soccer Scrubs advance to semi-finals and they’re just two games away from the championship title. INDY Team #6 had a rough run this season, and they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs.

JLL Soccer (4-3) vs. Chicago Touch and Friends (3-3-1) – Tuesday, June 11, 2019

It was an exciting Quarter-Final matches, in which the #4 seed, JLL Soccer, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #6 seed, Chicago Touch and Friends, with a final score of 2-1. This week’s win advances JLL Soccer to semi-finals. Scoring for the victors was the combination of Michael Alpern and Morgan Witham. Nate scored the only goal for Chicago Touch and Friends to get their team on the board. Hopefully the loss doesn’t haunt Chicago Touch and Friends too much. There’s always next season.
