It’s A Llama (7-0-1) vs. Kelly Blue Book’s 2009 Minivan of the Year (4-4) – Thursday, August 8, 2019

In this Semi-Finals game, the #1 seed, It’s A Llama, took on the #4 seed, Kelly Blue Book’s 2009 Minivan of the Year. They were tied coming out of regulation, but then moved to penalty kicks to decide the victor. In penalty kicks, It’s A Llama took home the victory 3-2. Fernando was among those who scored in this playoff win for It’s A Llama, but the combo of Melissa, Marcos, and Diego brought home the win in PKs. It’s A Llama moved onto the championship game, see how they did below! In the tie, Lukas Keapproth put up one goal for Kelly Blue Book’s 2009 Minivan of the Year, but they fell short of the win in PK’s. Kelly Blue Book’s 2009 Minivan of the Year is done following their loss in the semi-finals.

Cheeky Monkey (6-1) vs. Chicago Handshakes (4-4) – Thursday, August 8, 2019

In this Semi-Finals game, the #2 seed, Cheeky Monkey, took on the #4 seed, Chicago Handshakes. Cheeky Monkey brought home the win in this game 2-0. The two MVPs in this match were the goalkeeper for Cheeky Monkey, Jonny Bates, who had a shutout, and Bridget Skinner who scored all the goals in the game.  Next up for Chicago Handshakes is done for year following the loss and will have to come back next year for a shot at the championship. It was a Championship Game written for the movies. The #1 team, It’s A Llama played the #2 team, Cheeky Monkey for the prestigious long-sleeve shirts forever capturing the moment of glory. It’s A Llama took home the win 1-0 to make them champions of the league! Cheeky Monkey came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for It’s A Llama, David, who had a shutout, and Fernando who scored the only goal of the game. Congratulations to It’s A Llama on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.
