Peaked in High School (6-0-1) vs. INDY Team #7 (0-6-1) – Saturday, June 01, 2019

Peaked in High School played INDY Team #7, thein this Quarter-Final game.  INDY Team #7 didn’t have their best stuff in this one and suffered a shutout, losing 5-0. Hopefully the loss doesn’t haunt INDY Team #7 too much. There’s always next season.  The win for Peaked in High School means a ticket to semi-finals, and it was secured by two goals from Dydney Weidemann and goals from Willie Fillion, Jake U, and Debbie M. They’re scheduled to play Chicago Cougars next week. Whichever team emerges as the winner will advance to the championship game.

Squad Goals (6-1) vs. FC Hokies (1-5-1) – Saturday, June 01, 2019

Squad Goals matched up against FC Hokies for the chance at more playoff action. Squad Goals took this game handedly winning 10-1. For the victors, their offense was lead by two hat tricks from Paul Sanderude and Matt Rufener and goals from Brianna Kunycky, Brian McGarvey, Brynne Miller, and Adam K. It’s week 7 and FC Hokies have only scored a total of 5 goals all season. Taylor Weaver scored the only goal for FC Hokies to get their team on the board. FC Hokies had a tough run this season, and they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs.  Squad Goals advance to semi-finals where they’ll take on Jimmy Saville’s U10s next week. They’re just two games away from the championship title.

Jimmy Savile’s U10s (4-2-1) vs. Excelarators (2-5) – Saturday, June 01, 2019

In this Quarter-Final game, Jimmy Savile’s U10s took on Excelarators and took home the win with a score of 2-0. Excelarators didn’t have their best stuff in this game and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. Excelarators had a tough run this season, and they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs. For Jimmy Saville’s U10s, their offense was lead by Kelsey Burris and Robert. This week’s win advances Jimmy Savile’s U10s to semi-finals. They will face Squad Goals next week in the Semi-Finals.

Chicago Cougars (3-2-2) vs. Cat Facts FC (3-4) – Saturday, June 01, 2019

With a final score of 1-0, Chicago Cougars grabbed this W. These teams had similar records with 3 wins each. The last time these two teams met in week 1, it was a close 1-point game with Cat Facts FC winning 2-1. The only goal scored in the game was from David Baz Cortes. Cat Facts FC struggled to get it going in terms of scoring in this one, but they’ve had 9 overall goals this season. Cat Facts FC’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule. Chicago Cougars advance to semi-finals where they’ll take on Peaked in High School. They’re just two games away from the championship title.
