Fut Fetish FC (3-4-1) vs. FC Chell (2-4-1) – Saturday, August 3, 2019

The 4th place vs 5th place game is always one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket. With a final score of 1-0, Fut Fetish FC grabbed this W. The last time these two teams met in week 1, FC Chell won 4-1. This time around, the result was different. Fut Fetish FC had a double header this week. This was the better played match, which helped them claim their #4 rank in the standings table. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for Fut Fetish FC, Evan, who had a shutout, and Jerun Trajko who scored the only goal of the game. Fut Fetish FC played again this week, check below how they did.  FC Chell has now been officially eliminated following their loss in this playoff game.

Peaked in High School (6-1) vs. Fut Fetish FC (3-4-1) – Saturday, August 3, 2019

Peaked in High School, the #1 seed, took on Fut Fetish FC, the #4 seed, in this Quarter-Finals game. The last time these two teams met in week 4, Peaked in High School won 2-0. The results weren’t much different this time around.  Peaked in High School are heating up with two wins in a row. The two MVPs in this match were the goalkeeper for Peaked in High School, Robert M, who had a shutout, and Willie who scored all the goals in the game. Peaked in High School will now play next week in the Championship game. Fut Fetish FC had a double header this week. This was the tougher match of the two, but instead they ended up widening their goal differential gap to 88.  Fut Fetish FC will need to regroup and return next season for another shot at the championship.

Squad Goals (3-3-2) vs. INDY Team #3 (1-6) – Saturday, August 3, 2019

Squad Goals, the #3 seed, matched up against INDY Team #3, the #6 seed, in this Semi-Finals game. The last time these two teams met in week 3, Squad Goals won 3-0. No surprise here, the results were very similar this time.  INDY Team #3 really struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this game, scoring fewer than their average of 1.4 GPG this year. Rachid Ouchnid scored the only goal for INDY Team #3 to save them from a shutout.  INDY Team #3 has now been knocked from the playoffs following this loss. Squad Goals had a double header this week. This was the better played match, which helped them lock in their #3 rank in the standings table. Brian McGarvey leads Squad Goals this season in scoring and added 2 goals to their stats this week bringing Brian McGarvey’s personal total to 4. Jimmy Savile’s U10s (5-2) vs. Squad Goals (3-3-2) – Saturday, August 3, 2019

In this Semi-Finals game, the #2 seed, Jimmy Savile’s U10s, took on the #3 seed, Squad Goals. Squad Goals had a double header this week. This was the tougher match of the two, and they now sit in 3rd place in the standings. Brian McGarvey scored the only goal for Squad Goals to get their team on the board. Jimmy Savile’s U10s continued their winning streak this week and are officially on fire. Lee H was among those who scored in this playoff win for Jimmy Savile’s U10s, putting one shot past the Squad Goals goalkeeper, Aaron. Squad Goals has been eliminated following this matchup.  Jimmy Savile’s U10s will play in the Championships next week for the chance to be the league’s top team.
