It was an exciting Quarter-Final game, in which Avocado Discoballs squeaked by with a 1-point win against LP United. LP United were unable to get rolling on offense in this one, scoring less than their average of 1.9 GPG for the season. William Mcfarland scored the only goal for LP United to get their team on the board. Avocado Discoballs had scores from Greg to lead the offense. LP United’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule.  This win advanced Avocado Discoballs to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. In this nail-biting Championship Game, Winded City FC played ESPN The Ocho for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. ESPN The Ocho had a double header this week. They lost both matches giving them a 3-game losing streak. Matt Allain scored the only goal for ESPN The Ocho to prevent the shutout. Justine Wiebe sealed the deal for Winded City FC with his two goals. Congratulations to Winded City FC on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. ESPN The Ocho came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table.
