Spring 2019 Lincoln Park Turf Coed 8v8 Soccer – Week 1

ABCDE FC (1-0) vs. Corporate Soccer Team (0-1) – Monday, March 25, 2019

ABCDE FC were incredible on both sides of the pitch against Corporate Soccer Team with a final score of 4-0.  Even with a loss, Corporate Soccer Team have a significant amount of time to practice their offensive skills before play-offs.  Travis Frangie and Joshua Hall both contributed to the final score with 2 and 1 goals respectively while Andrew Yoder added one goal.  The club’s goalkeepers, Joshua Hall and Jon Rocys, played very well in the shutout.  For Corporate Soccer Team they will have a throwdown with JNAM FC (0-0-1) as they try to rebound.   ABCDE FC will try to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. GT Soccer (0-0-1) are next on the calendar for ABCDE FC.

 

GT Soccer (0-0-1) vs. JNAM FC (0-0-1) – Monday, March 25, 2019

GT Soccer and JNAM FC took part in a draw and concluded knotted up at 1-1.  Tyler scored the team’s only goal, keeping their team in the game.  Nick Lazich was the star player for JNAM FC this week. They scored the only goal for their team. Exiting week 1, GT Soccer will look ahead to ABCDE FC (1-0-0) who are next on the schedule.  For JNAM FC coming up next on the schedule is Corporate Soccer Team (0-1-0).

 

INDY Team #1 (1-0) vs. INDY Team #11 (0-1) – Monday, March 25, 2019

INDY Team #1 blanked INDY Team #11 with a final score of just 1-0.  Albert Ghazal was the hero on offense and scored their only goal.  The club’s goalie, Jay, deserves much of the credit after earning a clean sheet.  Exiting week 1, INDY Team #1 will look ahead to keep their early season momentum.  LP United (1-0-0) are next on the docket for INDY Team #1.  The season is still young, and INDY Team #11 has significant amounts of opportunities to pick it up on the offensive end.  As for INDY Team #11 they will have a contest against MoLo Magic (0-1-0) as they look to rebound.

 

LP United (1-0) vs. MoLo Magic (0-1) – Monday, March 25, 2019

LP United blanked MoLo Magic with a final score of just 1-0. Christian Murau was the hero on offense and scored their only goal. The defenders are the unsung heroes of this match for helping Shea Gallup earn a clean sheet.  Even with a loss, MoLo Magic has a significant amount of time to get better on the offensive end.  Next week LP United will go toe to toe with INDY Team #1 (1-0-0), as they go for another W.   For MoLo Magic they will have a pairing with INDY Team #11 (0-1-0) as they try to come back from this one.

 

Our Moms Think We’re Good (1-0) vs. Team Awesome (0-1) – Monday, March 25, 2019

Our Moms Think We’re Good and Team Awesome competed in a low scoring affair, combining for three goals.  Our Moms Think We’re Good took home the 2-1 victory.  Despite losing, Team Awesome has a significant amount of weeks to practice on the offensive end.  Simon Lockwood-Bean scored the only goal for Team Awesome to prevent the shutout.  For Team Awesome next on the calendar is Winded City FC (1-0-0) as they attempt to get into the win column.  Nic Vecchitto and McKenzie each lasered in one goal to lead the club’s offense.  Exiting week 1, Our Moms Think We’re Good will look ahead to keep their early season momentum.  The Renewable Machine (1-1-0) are next on the schedule for Our Moms Think We’re Good.

 

Winded City FC (1-0) vs. The Renewable Machine (1-1) – Monday, March 25, 2019

Winded City FC and The Renewable Machine had a defensive battle, with a combined score of three goals. Winded City FC took home the 2-1 victory.  Ryan Van Portfliet scored the only goal for The Renewable Machine to save them from a shutout.  For The Renewable Machine next week they will have a game against Our Moms Think We’re Good (1-0-0) as they strive to rebound.  Julia Pope netted one goal to help earn the group the victory.  For Winded City FC, next up is a showdown with Team Awesome (0-1-0), as they go for another W.

The Renewable Machine and Pangea competed in a low scoring affair, combining for three goals. The Renewable Machine took home the 2-1 victory.  The season is still young, and Pangea has significant amounts of opportunities to improve on offense.  Abe Silwany scored the only goal for Pangea to prevent the shutout.  The Renewable Machine had two games this week. This was the better played match.  Austin Welch and Dan Tamarkin each netted one goal to lead the crew’s attack.  As for Pangea next up is a showdown against Soccer? I Hardly Know Her! (0-1-0) as they attempt to bounce back.

 

ESPN The Ocho (1-0) vs. Soccer? I Hardly Know Her! (0-1) – Monday, March 25, 2019

In this match, ESPN The Ocho beat Soccer? I Hardly Know Her! 4-1. Despite losing, Soccer? I Hardly Know Her! has plenty of time to pick it up on the offensive side of the ball.  John Walsh scored the only goal for Soccer? I Hardly Know Her! to get their team on the board.  Brad Sherrill and Ryan Teich each kicked two goals to spearhead the team’s attack.  As for Soccer? I Hardly Know Her! next up is a showdown with Pangea (0-1-0) as they strive to get to the win column.   ESPN The Ocho will look to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2 against Avocado Discoballs (0-0-0).
