Spring 2019 Fri Lincoln Park Turf Coed Rec 8 on 8 Outdoor Soccer – Week 4

Team #7 (2-2-1) vs. INDY Team #5 (0-4) – Friday, July 19, 2019

Team #7 shut out INDY Team #5 with a final score of just 1-0. INDY Team #5 were unable to get rolling on offense in this game, but they’ve had 3 overall goals this season. Team #7 really showed some grit in this contest, winning, despite scoring less than their avg. goals per game of 2.0.  Steering the crew’s offense, Alex Keshishian scored their only goal.  The defenders did a great job in this game by helping Guy Macias earn a clean sheet. INDY Team #5 tries to break their winless streak next week against Net Breakers (2-2-1).  Shenanigans (4-0-1) are next up on the docket for Team #7, as they look to keep it going. 

Shenanigans (4-0-1) vs. Net Breakers (2-2-1) – Friday, July 19, 2019

As they did earlier in the year, Shenanigans won the second go-around against Net Breakers. This game finished with a final score of 5-2.  This week, Shenanigans came ready for a double header. This was the better played match, which helped them lock in their #1 rank in the standings table. Brett and Tory scored two goals to guide the squad’s offense and Alex scored the final goal. Next Friday, Shenanigans take on Team #7 (2-2-1) in an attempt to stay undefeated.  Net Breakers really struggled to get it going on offense in this game, scoring less than their average of 3.0 goals per game for the season. Bryan Hancock was the star player for Net Breakers this week. They scored all two goals for their team. Next up for Net Breakers is a match-up against INDY Team #5 (0-4-0), as they look to get back on track.

Shenanigans (4-0-1) vs. Team America (2-2-1) – Friday, July 19, 2019

Shenanigans and Team America were very well-matched in this match-up and ended knotted up at 3-3. This is Team America’s first tie this season and they’re currently sitting in second place in the standings. In the tie, Mihir scored two goals and Nick one for Team America. Shenanigans was fired up for a double header. Perhaps on a night they only had one game, this tie could have been a victory. Britt Withey netted two goals for Shenanigans to guide the group’s offense while Alex contributed with a goal as well.  For Team America they will go toe to toe with INDY Team #5 (0-4-0).  Exiting week 4, Shenanigans will look ahead to Team #7 (2-2-1) who are next on the calendar.
