Spring 2018 Wed Montrose (May 30th) TURF Coed Full Field Soccer – Week 4 recaps

Toe Ballers (3-0-1) vs. ISL All-Stars (2-2) – Wednesday, June 20, and 2018
Toe Ballers were amazing in this shut out against ISL All-Stars with a final score of 5-0. ISL All-Stars struggled to get it going in this one and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. Next up for ISL All-Stars is a match-up versus Zombies! (0-1-3), as they look to rebound. Toe Ballers continued their winning streak this week and are officially on fire. Their goalkeeper made sure ISL All-Stars would not score earning a shutout. To steer the club’s offense, Michael scored two goals. Next Wednesday, Toe Ballers battle against Kick in a Box (1-0-2) in an attempt to remain perfect.

Worldstar (2-0-1) vs. Blue Guys (1-3) – Wednesday, June 20, and 2018
Worldstar and Blue Guys competed in a Game where the defenses dominated, totaling only three goals, in which Worldstar took home the 2-1 victory. The victors had two games this week, this was the better played match, which helped them lock in their #2 rank in the standings table. Olzy kicked one goal to help earn the group the win. Next week, Worldstar tries to remain undefeated with a pairing against Team Mindshare (0-4-0). Blue Guys have had a rough season, it’s week 4 and they’ve only scored a total of 4 goals. Alyssa Reitz scored the only goal for Blue Guys to get their team on the board. Next up for Blue Guys is a match-up against Train Wreck (1-0-3), as they look to rebound.

Train Wreck (1-0-3) vs. Worldstar (2-0-1) – Wednesday, June 20, and 2018
This was one of two games for Worldstar, perhaps on a night they only had one game, this tie could have been a victory. In the tie, Robert lasered two goals for the squad. They’re hungry for wins, but Train Wreck have a 2-game tie streak. For Train Wreck, Randy scored three goals to lead the team’s offense.  For Worldstar next up is Team Mindshare (0-4-0).  Exiting week 4, Train Wreck looks ahead to Blue Guys (1-3-0) who are next on the calendar.

Alright Alright Alright (1-1-2) vs. Team Mindshare (0-4) – Wednesday, June 20, and 2018
Both teams entered this match looking for their first win of the season. With a final score of 1-0, Alright Alright Alright emerged with an exciting win against Team Mindshare. Team Mindshare were unable to get rolling in this one and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. Next week, Team Mindshare take on Worldstar (2-0-1) in an attempt to get their first win. This victory for the Alright Alright Alright came as a surprise considering it’s more than halfway through the season and they have only scored a total of 2 goals. Their goalkeeper got a clean sheet in this one. To help earn the crew the win, Piet Walvoord kicked one goal. Next up for Alright Alright Alright is a battle against Kick in a Box (1-0-2).

Zombies! (0-1-3) vs. Kick in a Box (1-0-2) – Wednesday, June 20, and 2018
In an unexpected outcome, the 6th place ranked team, Zombies!, tied the favored Kick in a Box (currently ranked 2nd) with a final score of 0-0. This tie against a higher ranked team came as a surprise considering it’s more than halfway through the season and they have only scored a total of 3 goals. Exiting week 4, Zombies! looks ahead to ISL All-Stars (2-2-0) who are next on the calendar. Kick in a Box don’t have a reputation of scoring a lot of goals this season, so this result wasn’t much of a surprise. They currently have a total of 1 goals over 3 games.  For Kick in a Box they will face off with Alright Alright Alright (1-1-2).
