Chi-City Chiefs (5-2) v. No Punts Allowed (Ashby) (0-7) – Wednesday, July 18, and 2018
In this Quarter-Finals game, the #3 seed, Chi-City Chiefs, took on the #8 seed, No Punts Allowed (Ashby). Chi-City Chiefs shut out the competition with a final score of 40-0. This team really brought it on defense in this game, beating their season points against average of 19.3 ppg. QB Bryan Van Horn passed six touchdowns, hitting Andrew Patterson for two of them. This is the end of the road for No Punts Allowed (Ashby) in the season, hope to see this team in our next leagues. For Chi-City Chiefs, they are off in the Semi-Finals battling against Chicago Patriots for a spot in the championship.
Los Charros (5-2) v. Show Me Yo TDs (1-6) – Wednesday, July 18, and 2018
The #3 seed, Los Charros, took on the #6 seed, Show Me Yo TDs in this Quarter-Finals game. With a final score of 20-6, Los Charros earned their third-straight W. Los Charros buckled down in this game, winning, despite scoring less than their avg. points per game of 22.30. QB Stoll passed three TDs, passing to Homyk for two of them. For Show Me Yo TDs, in the loss, QB Michael Donato hit Erik Gleaves for one touchdown. For Show Me Yo TDs, this was their last chance for a spot in the Semi-Finals, hope to see this team in the next round of leagues to fight out for a chance as champions. Los Charros still has a chance for a spot for the Championship, but they have to play Average Joe’s first in the Semi-Finals.
Average Joe’s (7-0) v. Rays the Roof (1-6) – Wednesday, July 18, and 2018
Rays the Roof forfeited to Average Joe’s. Sadly, this is the end of the season for Rays the Roof and hopefully they will show up next season. For the Average Joe’s, they gained an easy win towards the Semi-Finals round against Los Charros for a seat in the championship match.
Chicago Patriots (6-1) v. No Punt Intended (Morin) (3-4) – Wednesday, July 18, and 2018
Heading into this Quarter-Finals game, No Punt Intended (Morin) were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 20 points last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #2 seed playing the #5 seed, No Punt Intended (Morin). They just barely took the win to advance to the Semi-Final with a score of 7-6 reflects the hard work Chicago Patriots put into every minute of the game. They really showed up on D in this game, beating their season points against average of 8.7 points per game. QB Zev Katz delivered one touchdown, which was caught by Alex. For No Punt Intended (Morin), in the loss, QB Peter J Balsam hit Tyler for one touchdown. Even though No Punt Intended (Morin) last effort to possibly end in the Championship game they can proudly say they gave it there all. Hopefully we will see this team next year at a chance in the Final game. Chicago Patriots still have work to do as they head into the Semi-Finals against Chi-City Chiefs.
