Start your comedic journey in an 8-week intro course to long-form improvisation. Taught by the experts at iO! Theater, learn improv from the best!
Long-form takes 1 suggestion from an audience to create an improvised piece as opposed to the gamier-many-suggestion-driven short form improv of "Whose Line is it Anyway".
You and your class will set off together on an adventure to make collaborative art... from strangers to a team, just like that!
This Level 1 class has an ensemble focus where teamwork & group mind are the goal. You'll learn basic stagecraft, how to create a stage picture, as well as long form openings and games and even improvising scenes!
Your class will also have one short performance/demonstration at the end of the session.
Come play and have fun, for 3 hours a week, once a week, for 8 weeks.
