Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer – Week 2 Recap

Chicago Cougars (1-1) vs. Kellogg FC (0-2) – Saturday, September 26, 2020

Chicago Cougars played well here and blanked Kellogg FC with a final score of 2-0. Chicago Cougars really showed up in this game, exceeding their first game point total. Chicago Cougars’s goalkeeper David Baz Cortes should receive a ton of praise for the clean sheet. Bryce Buchinger and Hector both scored one goal apiece to guide the crew’s offense. Chicago Cougars will attempt to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 3. Net Six and Chill (2-1-0) are next on the docket for Chicago Cougars as they attempt to record back-to-back victories. Medix 10’s (1-0) vs. Goode FC (1-1) – Saturday, September 26, 2020

In this match, Medix 10’s cruised past Goode FC 8-1 in their opening match of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League. Kelly Lewers tallied a hat trick to help get the club their first W of the season. Four other players tallied their names onto the scorer’s sheet for Medix 10’s to help secure the victory. For Medix 10’s, each game is a crucial game for them to gather wins early on. Off In Public (0-2-0) are next on the docket for Medix 10’s coming up in week 3. Goode FC really were unable to get rolling in this game on either side of the ball, scoring fewer than their total from their first match while also allowing a league high eight goals on the defensive end. Drew Blakeley scored the only goal for Goode FC to get their team on the board. For Goode FC they will have a contest with Kellogg FC (0-2-0) coming up in week 3 as they strive to get to shake off this lopsided defeat.

 

INDY Team #6 (1-1) vs. Off In Public (0-2) – Saturday, September 26, 2020

INDY Team #6 were amazing in this shut out against Off In Public with a final score of 6-0. INDY Team #6 really stepped up, topping their opening game point total. INDY Team #6’s goalkeeper Jackson Nowak deserves a shout out for helping blank the Off In Public’s offense. Ethan Trotz and Sidhartha each scored two goals to help get the crew the week 2 W. For INDY Team #6, next up is a showdown against Aston Birra (1-1-0), as they go for another W and keep pace in the league standings. Off In Public really struggled to get it going on offense in this one, scoring fewer than their total from their first game.  For Off In Public next up is a game against Medix 10’s (1-0-0) as they attempt to get to the win column.

 

Jimmy’s U10s (1-1) vs. Aston Birra (1-1) – Saturday, September 26, 2020

Jimmy’s U10s were incredible on both sides of the pitch against Aston Birra with a final score of 5-0 in their week 2 matchup of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League. Jimmy’s U10s really brought their A game in this one, exceeding their opening game point total. James and Sydney Wiedemann both contributed to the final score with 2 and 1 goals, respectively. The defenders are the unsung heroes of this match for helping GK Sydney Wiedemann earn a shutout. Exiting week 2, Jimmy’s U10s will look ahead to keep their early season momentum rolling and record back-to-back victories for the first time this season. Fox & Robin presents; Soccer? I barely know her! (2-0-0) are next on the schedule for them coming up in week 3. Aston Birra really struggled to get it going in terms of scoring in this game, netting fewer than their total from their opening match. In their second contest of the season, Fox & Robin presents; Soccer? I barely know her! traveled to the Lincoln Park TURF Field and secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Net Six and Chill. Fox & Robin presents; Soccer? I barely know her! are heating up, winning both of their games so far this season and are now only one of two teams remaining with a zero in the loss column. Chris N. kicked two goals to help get the club the victory. Exiting week 2, Fox & Robin presents; Soccer? I barely know her! will look ahead to keep their early season momentum rolling and take sole possession of first place in the league standings. This week Fox & Robin presents; Soccer?
