Fox & Robin presents; Soccer? I barely know her! (1-0) vs. Chicago Cougars (0-1) – Saturday, September 19, 2020

Madison N. and Thomas F. each scored a brace as Fox & Robin presents; Soccer? I barely know her! demolished Chicago Cougars 6-1 on opening day of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League. John Henry Neuberger and Max Ausbrook also chipped in a goal apiece to help seal the Week 1 victory. Exiting week 1, Fox & Robin presents; Soccer? I barely know her! will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Next up is a huge battle against Net Six and Chill (2-0-0) coming up in Week 2. Despite the loss, Chicago Cougars has a significant amount of opportunities remaining to practice on the offensive side of the ball. Guillermo Alvarez scored the only goal for Chicago Cougars to get their team on the board. For Chicago Cougars they will move on to a game against Kellogg FC (0-1-0) coming up in Week 2 as they attempt to rebound from this lopsided defeat.

 

Net Six and Chill (2-0) vs. Jimmy’s U10s (0-1) – Saturday, September 19, 2020

Net Six and Chill were amazing on opening day of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League against Jimmy’s U10s with a final score of 4-0. Charles Dotson and Erin Dircks both contributed to the final score with 2 and 1 goals, respectively. The club’s goalkeeper, Jake Biegger, stone-walled Jimmy’s U10s, earning a shutout for their record. Net Six and Chill had a double header on opening day. More on their second game below. Even with a loss, Jimmy’s U10s have plenty of games remaining to practice their offensive skills before the play-offs begin in about six weeks. For Jimmy’s U10s next up is a pairing with Aston Birra (1-0-0) as they look to shake off this opening day defeat and record their first point(s) of the season.

 

Net Six and Chill (2-0) vs. Kellogg FC (0-1) – Saturday, September 19, 2020

Net Six and Chill stepped right back onto the field on opening day of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League and played another fantastic game as they cruised past Kellogg FC with a final score of 3-0. This week, Net Six and Chill came ready for a double header. They won both matches, which means they are officially heating up! Net Six and Chill’s goalkeeper Jake Biegger should receive a ton of praise for the clean sheet as he stonewalled Kellogg FC all game long. Erin Dircks, Charles Dotson, and Jack McCormick each scored one goal to guide the club’s attack. Exiting week 1, Net Six and Chill will look ahead to keep their early season momentum rolling. This week Net Six and Chill will go toe to toe with Fox & Robin presents; Soccer? I barely know her! (1-0-0) as they look to record a third consecutive victory. It is only the first week, and Kellogg FC has tons of time to get better on both ends of the field. For Kellogg FC they will have a throwdown with Chicago Cougars (0-1-0) as they try to shake off this Week 1 defeat.

 

Goode FC (1-0) vs. INDY Team #6 (0-1) – Saturday, September 19, 2020

Goode FC set the tone of their game on opening day of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League as they used relentless pressure to generate offense en route to a 4-0 win against INDY Team #6. Katie Kunkel provided a brace while Katie Winter and Daniel both contributed to the final score with a goal apiece. The Goode FC goalkeeper, Drew Blakeley, deserves much of the credit for the win after earning a clean sheet. Exiting week 1, Goode FC will look to record back-to-back victories. Medix 10’s (0-0) are next on the docket for them coming up in Week 2. The season is still young, and INDY Team #6 has significant amounts of time to improve on both ends of the field. As for INDY Team #6 they’ll move on to a date with Off In Public (0-1-0) in Week 2 as they try to rebound from this blowout defeat.

Aston Birra (1-0) vs. Off In Public (0-1) – Saturday, September 19, 2020

Sam Leschisin tallied a hat trick while Addie Glazzard, Colin M. and Trey Lundmark notched a goal apiece to lead Aston Birra to a 6-1 win over Off in Public on opening day of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League. Exiting week 1, Aston Birra will look ahead to keep their early season momentum turning. Coming up in Week 2 Aston Birra will line-up against Jimmy’s U10s (0-1-0) with an opportunity to record back-to-back victories. It’s only week one, and Off In Public has significant amounts of opportunities remaining to pick it up on the offensive side of the ball. Oliver Feng scored the only goal for Off In Public to prevent the shutout. For Off In Public they will have a match-up against INDY Team #6 (0-1-0) coming up in Week 2 as they attempt to come back from this disappointing defeat.
