REDEYE – CAN REC SPORTS MAKE YOU A BETTER CO-WORKER?

Having worked at the advertising firm for only a month, Kevin Cahalin joined the company kickball team in hopes of getting to know everyone.  With a staff size numbering in the mid-20s, the 28-year-old content specialist at 88 Brand Partners said there were about 12 people, including himself, who participated on the team consistently; only a few didn’t sign up.

“Several people wouldn’t actually play but would support and cheer us on from the sidelines,” the Lincoln Park resident said. “It was really inclusive and a lot of fun.”  Cahalin said his favorite part came after the kickballs were put away for the night.  “Everybody would go across the street to the bar after the game was done, and our boss would cover the first round of drinks and order some appetizers,” he said. “We’d be there for a few hours just drinking and socializing.”
