Monday Wells High School Men’s 7v7 Outdoor Soccer League Recap – Week 2

Beercelona (1-1) vs. INDY Team #5 (0-3) – Monday, September 28, 2020

In Week 2 of the Monday Wells High School Men’s INT 7v7 Soccer League, Beercelona cruised past INDY Team #5 by a final score of 9-2. Beercelona really showed up in this one, beating their opening game point total. Sidali Aitelhadj scored a hat trick to steer the crew’s attack. Five other players added their names onto the scorer’s sheet for Beercelona in this one, including Alex Del Rio who fired in his first two goals of the season. Exiting week 2, Beercelona will look ahead to keep this winning momentum rolling. INDY Team #6 (0-1-0) are next on the calendar for them coming up in Week 3 as they attempt to record back-to-back victories. INDY Team #5 did everything they could on in terms of scoring in this one despite the loss, topping their total from their Week 1 contest. Unfortunately, it was their defense that let them down once again in this contest as they let up nine total goals. INDY Team #5 still had notable players including Michael Menos, who fired in one of the squads two goals. For INDY Team #5 next up is a showdown with Cacatuas FC (1-1-0) coming up in Week 3 as they look to put this lopsided loss behind them quickly.

 

Vitamin O (2-0) vs. Cacatuas FC (1-1) – Monday, September 28, 2020

Ryan Geidner, Michael Deremo and Sandro Silva each recorded a brace to power Vitamin O to a 6-3 victory over Cacatuas FC on Monday night at the Wells High School TURF Field. Vitamin O are starting to heat up, winning both of their games so far this season. For Vitamin O, every week is a critical opportunity to build momentum as the season continues to move along. Vitamin O Yeah (2-0-0) are next on the schedule for Vitamin O in a huge Week 3 match-up. Winner of this game will have sole possession of first place in the league standings. Cacatuas FC really were unable to get rolling in this game, scoring less than their total from their opening matchup. The losing team still had notable players including Santiago Ardila, who scored one goal for Cacatuas FC to help keep their club in this game. As for Cacatuas FC they will have a throwdown with INDY Team #5 (0-3-0) coming up in Week 3 as they try to bounce back from this tough defeat.

 

Vitamin O Yeah (2-0) vs. INDY Team #6 (0-1) – Monday, September 28, 2020

Vitamin O Yeah have been unbeatable so far this season. Literally. By the final score of 13-0, Vitamin O Yeah were amazing in this shut out against INDY Team #6. Vitamin O Yeah is averaging a whopping 11 GPG through the first two weeks. Ryan Murphy was unstoppable for Vitamin O Yeah and contributed 5 goals to lead the club’s attack. The leagues leading goal scorer through the first two weeks, Hunter Somers, also contributed to the team’s final score by adding four goals of his own. Exiting week 2, Vitamin O Yeah will look ahead to keep their early season momentum rolling. This week Vitamin O Yeah has a double header on their schedule and will first take on Vitamin O (2-0-0) in a must-see Week 3 match-up. Winner of this match will have sole possession of first place in the league standings. They will then step right back onto the pitch to take on this very same INDY Team #6 crew. It was only their first game, so INDY Team #6 must put this game behind them quickly. They have plenty of games remaining on their regular season schedule to figure things out. INDY Team #6 will step back onto the pitch with this same Vitamin O Yeah (2-0-0) crew coming up in Week 3 as they try to forget about this loss and record their first point(s) of the season. They will then step right back onto the pitch and take on Beercelona (1-1) as they also have a double header on their slate coming up in Week 3.
