INDY Team #6 could not pull together enough players to field a legal team and had to forfeit to Indy Team #5 on Monday night at the UIC TURF Field. This win is the second in a row for Indy Team #5, and it bumps them into the #4 seed heading into the postseason on Monday night. They will take on #5 Ball Busters FC (2-4-0) in the quarterfinals to start their playoff journey. Winner of this game will stay on the field and take on #1 Vitamin O (5-1-0) in the semifinals. The forfeit loss drops INDY Team #6 into the #6 seed and will now take on #3 Kim Jong United (4-3-0) in the quarterfinals coming up on Monday night. Winner of this match will stay on the field and take on #2 Vitamin O Yeah (5-1-0) in the semifinals.

 

Vitamin O (5-1-0) vs. Kim Jong United (4-3-0) – Monday, August 24, 2020

Vitamin O closed out their regular season schedule in fashion on Monday night at the UIC TURF Field, cruising past Kim Jong United by a final score of 6-3. Vitamin O are having a fantastic offensive season. They are averaging a league-high 5.8 goals per game. The leagues co-leader in total goals scored, Ryan Heaney, notched another one for Vitamin O in this contest and brings his regular season total up to 10. Will Teichman and Cody Balogh scored two goals apiece to help earn the crew the W. This win locks in Vitamin O as the overall #1 seed heading into postseason play coming up on Monday night. They will take on the winner of the #4 Indy Team #5 (3-4-0) vs. #5 Ball Busters FC (2-4-0) game in the semifinals with the winner moving along to the Championship game on Monday, September 14th! Even though they took the loss, Kim Jong United really gave everything they had in this game, they just could not keep up with the offensive firepower of Vitamin O. Armeen Shahriar was the star player for Kim Jong United this week. They scored all three goals for them. The loss drops Kim Jon United into the #3 seed heading into postseason play coming up on Monday night. Vitamin O Yeah picked up a hard-fought 5-3 win on Monday night over Ball Busters FC at the UIC TURF Field. This win is the fifth in a row for Vitamin O Yeah and it bumps them into the #2 seed heading into the postseason coming up on Monday night. Anthony Estrada scored two goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet in this match for Vitamin O Yeah. They will look to extend their current winning streak to six games when they take the field coming up on Monday night against the winner of the #3 Kim Jon United (4-3-0) vs. #6 INDY Team #6 (0-6-0) match in the semifinals with an opportunity to advance to the Championship game on Monday, September 14th. Despite losing, Ball Busters FC certainly did everything they could to stop Vitamin O Yeah, unfortunately it just was not enough to get the win.
