99 problems but a pitch ain’t 1 and Avocado Discoballs were very well-matched in this game and finished all tied up at 1-1 on opening night of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League. Adam Yaghmour scored the team’s only goal for 99 problems but a pitch ain’t 1, getting their team on the board. 99 problems but a pitch ain’t 1 will have an extra week to soak in their week 1 tie as they have the BYE week coming up in week 2. Avocado Discoballs played very well in this opening night contest and had several opportunities to secure the win but they would have to settle for the draw. Eugene Ballantine was the star player for Avocado Discoballs this week. They scored the only goal for them. Back That Pass Up (1-0) vs. Barcapool (0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020

Ryan Boonstra netted a hat trick, leading Back That Pass Up to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Barcapool on opening night of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League. Back That Pass Up and Barcapool were very evenly matched in this one up to the very last minute. Back That Pass Up will have an extra week to soak up this victory as they have the BYE coming up in week 2. Despite the loss, Barcapool has plenty of weeks remaining on their schedule to work out the kinks from this game. Tom Kuczek was the star player for Barcapool this week. They provided all the offense for Barcapool in this contest as they lasered in both goals for the club. For Barcapool next on the schedule is Avocado Discoballs (0-0-1) coming up in week 2 as they look to get into the win column and shake off this heartbreaking week 1 defeat.

 

Ben’s Angels (1-0) vs. Carlton’s Kidz (0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020

Ben’s Angels played very well and blanked Carlton’s Kidz with a final score of 3-0 on opening night of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Soccer League. Carlton’s Kidz did not have their best stuff in this game and could not seem to find the back of the net. Ben’s Angels seems to have found their groove and have started their Fall season off in style. Cesar Castanon netted two goals and Erich Peltz added the third. The club’s goalie, Lee Kresner, played very well in the clean sheet. The well-deserved 3 points puts Ben’s Angels atop the standings board after week 1 and they will have an extra week to soak up this victory as they are scheduled for the BYE coming up in week 2. Even though they lost, Carlton’s Kidz have plenty of weeks remaining to practice their offensive skills before play-offs begin. Cat Facts FC (1-0) vs. Game of Throw-Ins (0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020

Cat Facts FC were incredible on both sides of the pitch against Game of Throw-Ins with a final score of 4-0 on opening night of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League. Cat Facts FC’s goalkeeper Kaleb Wilson stone-walled Game of Throw-Ins in this contest. Rob Breithaupt, Alex Perkowski, Adam Jabs and Steffi Chew each accounted for one goal to help gain the squad the win. For Cat Facts FC, every game is a crucial game to get in a groove as the season moves along. Coming up in week 2 Cat Facts FC will battle Net Six and Chill (1-0-0) as they look to record back-to-back victories. It is only the first week, and Game of Throw-Ins has significant amounts of opportunities to get better on both sides of the pitch. They had some solid opportunities to put the ball in net but just could not sneak it past the Cat Facts FC keeper. As for Game of Throw-Ins next on the docket is It’s About To Get Messi (0-0-1) coming up in week 2 as they attempt to rebound from this lopsided defeat.

 

INDY Team #25 (1-0) vs. INDY Team #8 (0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020

INDY Team #25 netted four total goals, including braces from Anthony Estrada and Jesus Ramos, on its way to a 4-1 triumph over INDY Team #8 on opening night of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League. Goalkeeper Peter Fayek also had a solid game in net for INDY Team #25 as they held INDY Team #8 to just one goal. INDY Team #25 will look to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. This week INDY Team #25 will go toe to toe with Kinexon FC (0-1-0) in a crucial week 2 battle.  The season is still very young, so INDY Team #8 still has tons of opportunities to improve on both ends of the pitch. Jeremy Field scored the only goal for INDY Team #8 to get their team on the board and help them avoid the shutout. As for INDY Team #8 they will have a contest with Pass it to the Italians! (0-1-0) coming up in week 2 as they strive to rebound from this opening night defeat.

 

It’s About To Get Messi (0-0-1) vs. Just Closing Our Rings (0-0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020

It’s About To Get Messi and Just Closing Our Rings finished in a draw and finished with a stalemate at 1-1 on opening night of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League. This week’s result puts It’s About To Get Messi right smack in the middle of the overall league standings. Phil Troscinski scored the team’s only goal for It’s About To Get Messi, saving their team from defeat. Exiting week 1, It’s About To Get Messi looks ahead to Game of Throw-Ins (0-1-0) who are next on the docket coming up in week 2. This is Just Closing Our Rings’s first tie this season and they should be happy with the point. Hector Hernandez was the star player for Just Closing Our Rings this week. They scored the only goal for their team. For Just Closing Our Rings they will go toe to toe with Carlton’s Kidz (0-1-0) coming up in week 2 as they attempt to record their first victory of the season.

 

Lori’s Lightfut (1-0) vs. Kinexon FC (0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020

Lori’s Lightfut earned their first win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Kinexon FC on opening night of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League. Jake Degler recorded a brace for Lori’s Lightfut and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet. Andrew Vlasov provided a nifty goal as well to help secure the victory for his squad. For Lori’s Lightfut, every week is a big chance to gain ground in the Standings at the beginning of the year. Coming up in week 2 Lori’s Lightfut will play a crucial match against Team Awesome (1-0-0). Even though they lost, Kinexon FC has plenty of games to pick it up on the offensive end. Guillermo Contreras scored the only goal for Kinexon FC to get their team on the board and help avoid the shutout. As for Kinexon FC next on the calendar is a game against INDY Team #25 (1-0-0) as they try to get into the win column and shake off this opening night defeat.

 

Net Six and Chill (1-0) vs. Pass it to the Italians! (0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020

It took a little while, but the final score did indeed reflect the level of dominance of Net Six and Chill on opening night of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League. Austin Andrekus tallied a brace and three other players knocked in a goal apiece as Net Six and Chill cruised past Pass it to the Italians! by a final score of 5-0. It was not just about the offense for Net Six and Chill and the defenders did a great job in this game by helping Mike Horan earn the week 1 shutout. Net Six and Chill will try to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. Cat Facts FC (1-0-0) are next on the docket for Net Six and Chill. It is only the first week and Pass it to the Italians! still has tons of opportunities to pick it up on both ends of the pitch. Soccer Hotties (1-0) vs. Summit Sweepers (0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020

Eric Gilbert tallied a hat trick on opening night of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League as Soccer Hotties rolled to a 6-0 victory over Summit Sweepers. Soccer Hotties were incredible on both sides of the pitch in this contest. It was not just about the offense for Soccer Hotties in this contest and the defenders did a great job in this game by helping Ryan Lipin earn the week 1 shutout. For Soccer Hotties, each game is a critical opportunity to heat up as the season gets going. Team#1 (0-1-0) are next on the docket for Soccer Hotties as they attempt to stay atop the leader board. They have only played one game thus far, so Summit Sweepers still has tons of games remaining on their schedule to get better on both sides of the ball. For Summit Sweepers they will move on to a match-up against Trailblazers FC (0-0-0) as they try to come back from this lopsided defeat.

 

Team Awesome (1-0) vs. Team Cool Kids (0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020

Team Awesome controlled this game in shut out fashion against Team Cool Kids with a final score of 2-0 on opening night of the Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League. Team Awesome’s goalie Keith Kettelfinger was awesome in this game, earning his first clean sheet of the season. Simon Lockwood-Bean and Shane Otten provided the offense for Team Awesome in this contest and they both notched their first goals of the season. For Team Awesome, every week is a crucial game for them to gather wins early on and continue moving up the standings board. Lori’s Lightfut (1-0-0) are next on the docket for Team Awesome coming up in week 2. Despite the loss, Team Cool Kids have a lot of games to practice their offensive skills before play-offs begin. David Holz recorded a brace to lift Wiggity Wack to a 2-0 win over Team#1 in opening night action of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League. Goalkeeper Peter Brady was amazing in this shutout victory for Wiggity Wack as he stopped every shot that came his way on Monday night. It was a solid opening night victory for Wiggity Wack that will give them lots of momentum going into week 2. Coming up in week 2 Wiggity Wack will take the pitch in a crucial match against Retired Broz FC (0-0-0) in an attempt to record back-to-back victories. Team#1 played well in this opening night match; they just could not seem to find the back of the net.
