Fall 2020 Tues Lincoln Park South Men’s INT 7 vs. 7 Flag Football Recap – Week 4

Butter (3-1) v. RPOs (3-1) – Tuesday, October 6, and 2020

This was not your typical Tuesday Lincoln Park GRASS Men’s INT Flag Football Game thriller. Butter topped RPOs 26-13, handing RPOs their first loss of the season and giving themselves their third win of the year. It was one step forward, two steps back for RPOs offense to start and for most of the night but the Butter defense was dominant from the onset. QB Kyle Donahue threw three scores for Butter, hitting three different receivers for scores. Ryan Donahue came up huge on the defensive end for Butter, recording a Defensive TD to help seal the Week 4 victory. Big Chungus (1-2-0) are next up on the calendar for Butter, as they look to keep the winning momentum going. In the loss for RPOs, QB Matt Difrancesca hit Drew Fernandez for one touchdown and scampered in for one with his legs. Dirty Chris and the Boys (2-1-0) is next up on the schedule for RPOs, as they look to get back on track.

 

River Rats (3-0) v. Team Jim (1-3) – Tuesday, October 6, and 2020

Much like their first two games this season, River Rats came into Week 4 of the Tuesday Lincoln Park Men’s INT Flag Football League and came out with a highly impressive victory. River Rats upended Team Jim 28-7 in a game that was never really close from the start. River Rats really brought it in this game, beating their average of 22.30 ppg. QB Samuel Frasco delivered one TD, which was caught by Trent Greco while also scampering in a season-high three on the ground. Coming up in Week 5, River Rats face off against Fat Dan and Co. (2-2-0) in an attempt to remain unbeaten. Team Jim really were unable to get rolling in this one, scoring less than their average of 8.00 points per game for the year. Francis Besana rushed in a TD for Team Jim, their only score in this game. Safari Club (1-3-0) is next up on the schedule for Team Jim, as they look to get back on track and record their second win on the season.

 

Good D (2-1) v. Safari Club (1-3) – Tuesday, October 6, and 2020

The Good D defense pitched a shutout in Week 4 of the Tuesday Lincoln Park Men’s INT Flag Football League as Good D picked up their second win of the season with a 24-0 blanking of Safari Club. Good D really brought their A game in this one, beating their average of 17.30 ppg. QB Sam Poulos passed three scores, hitting Alex Lunde for two of them. Alex Lunde also tossed a QB pass to help seal this victory. Next up for Good D is a pairing versus Block the Bookie (0-4-0) coming up in Week 5 as they look to record their third straight victory. Safari Club really were unable to get rolling on offense in this one, scoring less than their average of 10.30 points per game this season. It was the first time this season that Safari Club has been held off the scoreboard. Next up for Safari Club is a showdown against Team Jim (1-3-0), as they attempt to end their two-game losing streak.

 

Dirty Chris and the Boys (2-1) v. Fat Dan and Co. (2-2) – Tuesday, October 6, and 2020

Fat Dan and Co. forfeited to Dirty Chris and the Boys in Week 4 of the Tuesday Lincoln Park Men’s INT Flag Football League as Fat Dan and Co. could not field enough starters to play a legal game. River Rats (3-0-0) are next up on the calendar for Fat Dan and Co. coming up in Week 5, as they look to rebound from this forfeit defeat. Next up for Dirty Chris and the Boys is a contest versus RPOs (3-1-0) as they look to record their third straight victory.

 

Big Chungus (1-2) v. Block the Bookie (0-4) – Tuesday, October 6, and 2020

Big Chungus put 21 on the board and held Block the Bookie to 6 points in Week 4 of the Tuesday Lincoln Park Men’s INT Flag Football League to record their first victory of the Fall campaign. Big Chungus really showed up, beating their average of 9.00 points per game. QB Luke Shadid delivered three scores, passing to Mick Best for two of them. Butter (3-1-0) are next up on the calendar for Big Chungus, as they look to keep it going and record back-to-back victories for the first time this season. For the fourth time this season, Block the Bookie has failed to record more than 6 points. Defensively however, Block the Bookie played better as they were able to hold Big Chungus to just 21 points. In the loss, QB Anthony hit Mitch for their only score of the game. Coming up in Week 5, Block the Bookie will try to get off the schneid and record their first win of the season with a match-up against Good D (2-1-0).
