Evil (3-3) v. NFG (2-3-1) – Sunday, October 25, 2020

Evil picked up their second straight victory to close out their regular season schedule in Week 6 of the Sunday Lincoln Park Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League with a thrilling 22-18 victory over NFG. The final score of 22-18 reflects the hard work Evil put into every minute of the game. This team really brought their A game on the defensive end in this one, beating their season points against average of 21.0 points per game. QB John Bowles passed for one score, which was caught by Jerome Johnson and ran for one with his legs. With the win, Evil closes out their regular season schedule with an overall 3-3 record. They will begin their postseason run as the overall #5 seed and will take on #4 seed TEFLON (3-3) in the Quarterfinals coming up on Sunday afternoon. For NFG, in the loss, QB James Davis tossed two scores, connecting with Timothy Powell and Chuck. QB James Davis also ran one score in, but it just was not enough to get past a determined Evil squad. The loss sees NFG conclude their regular season schedule with an overall 2-3-1 record and will now begin their postseason campaign as the overall #6 seed. NFG will take the field on Sunday afternoon against #3 seed IV:XX (4-2-1) in the Quarterfinals.

 

IV:XX (4-2-1) v. Treason (1-4-1) – Sunday, October 25, 2020

QB Lorenzo Stephens kept IV:XX from suffering their third defeat of the season. QB Charmaine Huang of Treason kept their squad from suffering their fifth defeat of the season. Neither QB earned the win, however. QB Lorenzo Tephens tossed one TD pass for IV:XX and QB Charmaine Huang kept Treason alive in this game, tossing a pair of TD passes, as IV:XX and Treason battled to a 14-14 tie in Week 6 of the Sunday Lincoln Park Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League. Treason really played their A game on D in this one, beating their average of 16.70 points against per game this year. This Week 6 tie sees Treason finish their regular season campaign with an overall record of 1-4-1 and will begin their postseason journey as the overall #7 seed. They will take the field on Sunday afternoon in the Quarterfinals against #2 Reckless Abandon (5-2). With this tie, IV:XX has clinched the overall #3 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament. Coming up on Sunday afternoon, IV:XX will take the field against #6 seed NFG (2-3-1) in the Quarterfinals.

 

Reckless Abandon (5-2) v. Legacy (1-5) – Sunday, October 25, 2020

Reckless Abandon secured the overall #2 seed in Week 6 of the Sunday Lincoln Park Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League with a convincing 18-6 victory over Legacy. QB Lance Hughes produced three total scores for Reckless Abandon in this contest, two passing TDs and one rushing TD. Reckless Abandon also showed up on the defensive end in this game, beating their season points against average of 12.6 ppg. Reckless Abandon finish their regular season schedule with an overall 5-2 record and will begin their postseason journey coming up on Sunday afternoon against #7 seed Treason (1-4-1) in the Quarterfinals. Legacy really were unable to get rolling in this one, scoring less than their average of 10.30 points per game this season. During the loss for Legacy, QB Javell Thompson connected with Vejurnae Leal for their only score in this game. Legacy had to shake this loss off quickly as they needed to step right back onto the field and take on Da Band (7-0) as they had a double header on their slate in Week 6. More on this game below.

 

Da Band (7-0) v. Legacy (1-5) – Sunday, October 25, 2020

Da Band completed their perfect regular season with a dominating 27-6 victory over Legacy in Week 6 of the Sunday Lincoln Park Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League. Da Band are the highest-scoring team in the league, averaging 27.4 ppg. The leagues overall leader in Passing TDs, Receiving TDs and Total TDs, QB Blake Hammond, delivered four more touchdown passes in this contest, finding Jamel Banks for three of them. Da Band will take the field coming up on Sunday as the overall #1 seed and will await the winner of the #8 seed The OGs (1-5-1) vs. #9 seed Legacy (1-5) in the Quarterfinals. Legacy did have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this one, scoring less than their average of 10.30 points per game for the year. This was the second loss of the day for Legacy as fourth loss overall as they saw their record fall to 1-5 on the year. Legacy will begin their postseason campaign as the overall #9 seed and will take on #8 seed The OGs (1-5-1) in Round 1 on Sunday morning. The winner of this contest will stay on the field and take on #1 seed Da Band (7-0) in the Quarterfinals.

 

TEFLON (3-3) v. The OGs (1-5-1) – Sunday, October 25, 2020

TEFLON and The OGs were very evenly matched in Week 6 of the Sunday Lincoln Park Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League as both teams closed out their regular season schedules. TEFLON put 22 on the board and held The OGs to 21 points. TEFLON stepped up in this game, beating their average of 16.80 ppg. QB Donovan Jenkins delivered three TD strikes, connecting with three different receivers along the way. This nail-biting Week 6 victory secures the overall #4 seed for TEFLON in the upcoming postseason tournament and will see them take the field against #5 seed Evil (3-3) in the Quarterfinals on Sunday afternoon. The OGs really brought their best on the offensive end in this one even though they lost, exceeding their average of 17.70 ppg this season. For The OGs, in the loss, QB Mike Keeton connected with Lan Tran for one of their three total TD passes. The loss drops The OGs record to 1-5-1 on the season and will see them begin their postseason campaign as the overall #8 seed. They will take the field on Sunday morning in Round 1 against #9 seed Legacy (1-5). Winner of this game will stay on the field and immediately take on #1 seed Da Band (7-0) in the Quarterfinals.
