Reckless Abandon (2-0) v. The OGs (1-1) – Sunday, September 27, and 2020

QB Josh Wagner passed for five TDs to four different receivers, passing to Lance Hughes for two of them and Reckless Abandon crushed The OGs 34-12 in week 2 of the Sunday Lincoln Park GRASS Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League. The final score of 34-12 reflects the hard work Reckless Abandon put into every minute of the game. If Reckless Abandon keep this up, you can count on them to keep seeing more success, as they are one of the highest-scoring teams in the league through week two. This week Reckless Abandon will battle Evil (1-1-0), as they go for their third straight victory. The OGs really were unable to get rolling on offense in this one, scoring less than their total from their Week 1 contest. For The OGs, QB Monet Mailey and Chaz Dusson each passed for one TD to provide the offense for their squad in this game. The OGs will look to quickly put this lopsided defeat behind them as they will take on Legacy (0-1-0) coming up in week 3.

Da Band (2-0) v. Treason (0-2) – Sunday, September 27, and 2020

Da Band pushed their winning streak to two games Sunday at the Lincoln Park GRASS fields with a gritty 13-6 victory over Treason. Tom Schneider and Demetrius Chick made the biggest catches of the year thus far for Da Band as they hauled in both of QB Blake Hammonds TD throws to help secure this crucial week 2 victory. Da Band really buckled down in this contest, prevailing, even after scoring less than they did in their first game. For Da Band, next up is a showdown against NFG (1-1-0), as they go for another W and secure sole possession of first place in the league standings. Treason will be disappointed with this performance as they struggled to get it going on offense, scoring less than their total from their Week 1 contest. In the loss, QB Gregory Owens hit Jeff Oscar for their only score of the game. For Treason they will have a battle with TEFLON (1-1-0) coming up in week 3 as they strive to bounce back from this gut-wrenching defeat and record their first victory of the season.

NFG (1-1) v. TEFLON (1-1) – Sunday, September 27, and 2020

NFG and TEFLON competed in an absolute shoot-out in week 2 of the Sunday Lincoln Park GRASS Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League, totaling 57 points. NFG gutted out a thrilling 31-26 win over TEFLON behind some great QB play of James Davis. QB James Davis delivered five passing touchdowns, hitting Jordan Dooney for three of them. The final score of 31-26 reflects the hard work NFG put into every minute of the game. They brought it in this one, exceeding their first game point total. Coming up in week 3 NFG will line-up against Da Band (2-0-0), as they look to build on this hard-earned victory. Even with this loss, TEFLON is still the highest scoring team in the league this season, averaging 25.50 points per game through the first two weeks. During the loss, QB Dan Colin passed for four TDs, hitting four different receivers. As for TEFLON next up is a game with Treason (0-2-0) as they look to shake off this loss and get back into the win column.

Evil (0-2) v. IV:XX (2-1) – Sunday, September 27, and 2020

QB Lorenzo Stephens passed for three scores and rushed one in, and IV:XX scored 27 points to eke out a 27-20 victory over Evil in week 2 of the Sunday Lincoln Park GRASS Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League. IV:XX are now one game closer to the championship title. They really brought their A game in this game, beating their first game point total. IV:XX could not celebrate this victory for too long however as they were scheduled for a double header in week 2. They would immediately take the field to take on Legacy. More on this game below. Evil really gave everything they had in this game despite the loss, topping their point total from week 1. During the loss, QB John Bowles passed for three total TDs, hitting three different receivers to help keep his squad in this game. Good news for Evil is that they still have plenty of weeks remaining on their regular season schedule to turn things around. This week Evil will go toe to toe with Reckless Abandon (2-0-0), as they look for their first win of the season.

IV:XX (1-2) v. Legacy (0-1) – Sunday, September 27, and 2020

IV:XX and Legacy participated in a nail-biter in week 2 of the Sunday Lincoln Park GRASS Coed REC/INT 8v8 Flag Football League. The final score of 18-14 reflects the hard work IV:XX put into every minute of the game. QB Lorenzo Stephens started right where he left off in game 1 of their double header, delivering two TD passes, hitting Anthony Stephenson for one of them to help secure the squad the double header sweep. Exiting week 2, IV:XX will look ahead to keep their early season momentum rolling. Next up is a showdown against Reckless Abandon (2-0-0) coming up in week 3 as they look for their third consecutive victory. It was only their first game of the season, so Legacy has significant amounts of weeks remaining on their schedule to pick it up on offense. For Legacy, in the loss, Myles Haggans and Jaleesha Connor each passed for one score. Unfortunately it just was not enough to get past a determined IV:XX squad. As for Legacy they will move on to a battle with The OGs (1-1-0) coming up in week 3 as they try to record their first victory of the season.
