The Ogg Balls (1-1-1) v. Can’t Find the Cleat (0-1-1) – Saturday, October 3, and 2020

The Ogg Balls and Can’t Find the Cleat were extremely well-matched in this Game and ended knotted up at 26-26. For The Ogg Balls, QB Holden Ogg provided all of the offense in this contest, tossing three scores, hitting Cesar Martinez for one of them, while also taking one into the endzone with their legs. The four total scores puts QB Holden Ogg in third place in total TDs through the first two weeks of the season. The Ogg Balls would need to immediately step back onto the field and take on INDY Team #4 as they were scheduled for the double header in Week 2. More on this game below. Can’t Find the Cleat really gave everything they had in this game in spite of the loss, beating their total from their opening game contest. For Can’t Find the Cleat, QB Luke Dawahare tossed two scores while also scampering one in with their legs. Can’t Find the Cleat had their opportunities to win this game but would have to settle for the draw. For Can’t Find the Cleat next up is INDY Team #4 (0-1-0) coming up in Week 3 as they look to record their first win of the season.

 

Shockers (2-0) v. Flags & Flasks (1-1) – Saturday, October 3, and 2020

Shockers made life hard for themselves in Week 2 of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT Flag Football League with a rough defensive start, but QB Mike was masterful again and led their squad to a 32-28 win over Flags & Flasks. The season just began, but Shockers are the early leaders in scoring. QB Mike passed for five TDs, finding James Zahurones for one of them and scampered for one more with their legs. QB Mike is currently leading the league with 12 total TDs through the first two weeks of this season. For Shockers, every contest is a crucial game to grab wins early on. INDY Team #4 (0-1-0) are next on the schedule for Shockers coming up in Week 3 as they look to take their record up to a perfect 3-0. Even with this loss, Flags & Flasks are one of the higher scoring teams in the league this season, averaging 30.50 points per game. In the loss, QB Matt Sandt hit Cordell Murphy for one touchdown and scampered in for two of his own. For Flags & Flasks they will move on to a showdown against The Ogg Balls (1-1-1) as they attempt to put this loss in their rear-view mirror and get back into the win column.

 

The Ogg Balls (1-1-1) v. INDY Team #4 (0-1) – Saturday, October 3, and 2020

The Ogg Balls and INDY Team #4 were very evenly matched in this one. By the score of 27-20, The Ogg Balls got a W and escaped their Week 2 double header without a loss. Holden Ogg passed for two more touchdowns in this contest, with Cesar Martinez on the receiving end of both. The Ogg Balls will look to continue their rise up the standings board with another W in week 3. Flags & Flasks (1-1-0) are next on the calendar for The Ogg Balls. INDY Team #4 opened their 2020 Fall season on Saturday afternoon with a very valiant effort. Unfortunately, they came up just short. Despite the loss, INDY Team #4 has significant amounts of time to get better on the defensive side of the ball. During the loss for INDY Team #4, QB Chris Watson hit Katie Sluman for one of their three scores in this game. For INDY Team #4 next on the calendar is Shockers (2-0-0) as they strive to get into the win column and record their first victory of the season.
