Prosper Football (3-0) v. Saturdays are Ferda Boys (1-1) – Saturday, October 3, and 2020
Prosper Football came into Week 2 of the Saturday Lincoln Park Men’s INT Flag Football League looking to build off their season opening victory in Week 1. They would have two opportunities in Week 2 as they were scheduled for the double header. In the first game of the day for Prosper Football, the final score of 16-9 reflects the hard work Prosper Football put into every minute of the game. They are the highest-scoring team in the league through the first two weeks of the season. QB Jordan Hedeen threw two TDs to help lead their squad to the victory. Prosper Football would need to step right back onto the field and take on AA-Aron in the second game of their double dip. More on this game below. In this match, AA-Aron forfeited to Prosper Football as AA-Aron did not have enough players to field a legal team. Prosper Football will attempt to stay atop the Standings with another W in Week 3. Next up is a battle against Drones – East (1-1-0) as they look to take their record up to a perfect 4-0. As for AA-Aron, they are scheduled for the double header coming up in Week 3. First up will be Mega Meat Skillet (1-2-0) as they try to come back from this forfeit defeat and record their first victory of the season. AA-Aron will then step back onto the field to take Saturdays are Ferda Boys (1-1) in game two of their double dip.
Mega Meat Skillet (1-2) v. Drones – East (1-1) – Saturday, October 3, and 2020
The Mega Meat Skillet defense did not allow a single point as Mega Meat Skillet posted their first shutout win of the season 22-0 over Drones – East in Week 2 of the Saturday Lincoln Park Men’s INT Flag Football League. QB Ryan Mccarthy provided most of the offense for Mega Meat Skillet in this contest, passing three touchdowns, hitting Jake Dilcher for two of them. Ross Murphy was on the receiving end for the third. For Mega Meat Skillet, next up is a match-up against AA-Aron (0-2-0), as they look to keep up the momentum and record their second win of the season. It was a tough day for Drones-East as they were held scoreless and had trouble keeping Mega Meat Skillet out of the endzone on the defensive end. Good news is that there is still plenty of time before the playoffs begin to work out these kinks on both ends of the field.
