In this nail-biting Championship Game, the #1 team, Kicking and Scheming played the #1 team, High School Heroes, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. This was one of two games for High School Heroes. If they had only this game, it might have been a different result, but at least the loss didn’t ding their standings too bad as they still sit at the top of the table in 1st place. High School Heroes came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are a team that will be at the top of the standings table. This week, Kicking and Scheming was fired up for a double header. They won both matches helping to boost them to the #1 rank in the standings. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for Kicking and Scheming, Hannah Duerr, who had a shutout, and Katie Zara who scored the only goal of the game.
