In this Semi-Finals game, the #1 seed, Chicago Chubs, took on the #4 seed, Corona Light. Corona Light didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this game and came short of making it onto the scoreboard.  Next up for Corona Light is a coveted bye week. This week, Chicago Chubs was fired up for a double header. This was the better played match, which helped them claim their #1 rank in the standings table. Helping on the offense, Curtis Wiese was among those who scored in this playoff win for Chicago Chubs. Chicago Chubs have an extra week of rest coming up with a coveted bye.

WUGIs (5-2) vs. PWfC (0-7-1) – Sunday, February 16, 2020

No one expected this Semi-Finals games to be such a close one. WUGIs, the #2 seed just squeaked by in this 1-point game to beat the #6 seed, PWfC. WUGIs had two games this week. This was the better played match, which helped them lock in their #2 rank in the standings table. Ryan  was among those who scored in this playoff win for WUGIs, putting two shots past the PWfC goalkeeper. PWfC gave everything they had defensively in this game in spite of the loss, allowing less than their average of 16.8 GAPG for the season. The losing team still had notable players including John Mundaden, who scored one goal for PWfC. WUGIs have an extra week of rest coming up with a coveted bye.  Next up for PWfC is a coveted bye week.

It was a Championship Game written for the movies. The #1 team, Chicago Chubs played the #2 team, WUGIs for the prestigious long-sleeve shirts forever capturing the moment of glory. Chicago Chubs was fired up for a double header. This was the better played match, which helped them lock in their #1 rank in the standings table. Helping on the offense, Curtis Wiese was among those who scored in this playoff win for Chicago Chubs. Congratulations to Chicago Chubs on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. This was one of two games for WUGIs. This was the tougher match of the two, but at least the loss didn’t ding their standings too bad as they still sit at the top of the table in 2nd place. The losing team still had notable players including Ryan , who scored two goals for WUGIs. Being one of the top two teams, WUGIs was optimistic heading into the championship match, so this loss is a tough one. But they definitely have what it takes to win and we expect to see them doing well again next season.
