ESPN; The Ocho (5-0-2) vs. Net 6 and Chill (0-7) – Monday, January 27, 2020

No one expected this Quarter-Finals games to be such a close one. ESPN; The Ocho, the #1 seed just squeaked by in this 1-point game to beat the #8 seed, Net 6 and Chill. Net 6 and Chill have had a rough season. It’s week 7 and they’ve only scored a total of 5 goals. Patrick Toole scored the only goal for Net 6 and Chill to prevent the shutout.  Dana  was among those who scored in this playoff win for ESPN; The Ocho, putting one shot past the Net 6 and Chill goalkeeper, Dorothy Yang. ESPN; The Ocho moved on and will play Pitch Please next week in the semi-finals

LPSE (5-1-1) vs. Los Dinos (2-5) – Monday, January 27, 2020

In this Quarter-Finals game, the #2 seed, LPSE, took on the #7 seed, Los Dinos. This win is the second in a row for LPSE, and it bumps them to 2nd place in the standings. Jake Nardulli is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for LPSE. Helping on the offense, Tigist Dadi was among those who scored in this playoff win for LPSE. Los Dinos were unable to get rolling in this game and failed to make it onto the scoreboard. Next up for LPSE will be a semi-finals matchup against Team Awesome!

Team Awesome (3-3-1) vs. Velvet Taquitos (3-2-2) – Monday, January 27, 2020

It was an exciting Quarter-Finals games, in which the #5 seed, Team Awesome, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #3 seed, Velvet Taquitos. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for Team Awesome, Trevor Wolf, who had a shutout, and Jason  who scored the only goal of the game. Next up for Team Awesome will play LPSE in the semi-finals. Velvet Taquitos were unable to get rolling in terms of scoring in this game and failed to make it onto the scoreboard.

Pitch Please (4-3) vs. INDY Team #1 (2-3-2) – Monday, January 27, 2020

It was an exciting Quarterfinals matches, in which the #3 seed, Pitch Please, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #6 seed, INDY Team #1. INDY Team #1 really didn’t have their best stuff on the offensive end in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 1.4 GPG for the season. Ryan Morrissey scored the only goal for INDY Team #1 to get their team on the board.  Next up for INDY Team #1 is a coveted bye week. This is the second week in a row Pitch Please took home the win. James Cook was among those who scored in this playoff win for Pitch Please, putting one shot past the INDY Team #1 goalkeeper, Ryan Morrissey. Next up for Pitch Please will be a semi-finals match against ESPN; The Ocho.
