ESPN; The Ocho put on a show on both sides of the pitch against Team Awesome with a final score of 2-0. Team Awesome didn’t have their best stuff on offense in this one, and failed to make it onto the scoreboard. ESPN; The Ocho really showed some fight in this matchup, winning, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 2.3. Matt Allain scored all two goals to steer the club’s offense. Shout-out to keeper, Shane , for the shutout! Velvet Taquitos are next up on the docket for Team Awesome, as they look to get back on track. ESPN; The Ocho will try to remain perfect next Monday with a Game against Net 6 and Chill.
LPSE (4-1-1) vs. Net 6 and Chill (0-6) – Monday, January 20, 2020
LPSE and Net 6 and Chill competed in a Game where the defenses dominated, totaling three goals. LPSE took home the 2-1 victory. LPSE continue to show they are a team that is good at scoring. They’re averaging 3 goals per game. Gabi Bailin kicked one goal to guide the club’s offense. It’s week 6 and Net 6 and Chill have only scored a total of 4 goals all season. Sarah Schaidle scored the only goal for Net 6 and Chill to prevent the shutout. Next up for LPSE is a contest versus Los Dinos. Next week, Net 6 and Chill will try to get their first win with a match-up against ESPN; The Ocho.
INDY Team #1 (2-2-2) vs. Velvet Taquitos (3-1-2) – Monday, January 20, 2020
INDY Team #1 and Velvet Taquitos took part in a draw and concluded all tied at 1-1. This is Velvet Taquitos’s second tie this season and they’re currently sitting in third place in the standings. This week’s result puts INDY Team #1 in fourth place in the standings. Rebekah Ausbrook scored the team’s only goal, keeping their team on the board.
