Fall 2019 Lincoln Park Men’s Competitive Flag Football – Week 7

NCSA (5-3) v. The Fluttering Ducks (2-5) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

In this quarter-final game, the #3 seed, NCSA, took on the #6 seed, The Fluttering Ducks. With a final score of 20-6, NCSA hopes to keep their momentum going as they advance in playoffs. NCSA really brought their A game, topping their average of 12.90 points per game. QB Tom delivered two touchdowns, finding Anthony Warrum for one of them, Dion Lewis for the other, and rushed for one with his legs. This win advanced NCSA to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. The exciting recap of that game is below. The Fluttering Ducks’ loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule.

 

We Have Gronk (4-4-1) v. Money Team (2-4-1) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

The 4th place vs 5th place game is always one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket. With a final score of 10-0, We Have Gronk grabbed this W. They showed up on the defensive end in this one, beating their season points against average of 8.9 points per game. QB Maxwell Clink delivered one score, which was caught by Mike L. This win advanced We Have Gronk to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. The exciting recap of that game is below. Money Team is done with playoffs, which means it’s time for a team meeting at the bar to regroup for next season!

 

Hit Squad (5-1-1) v. We Have Gronk (4-4-1) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

Hit Squad were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 14 points last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #1 seed playing the #4 seed, We Have Gronk. They confidently took the win to advance to the Championship Game. Hit Squad put 13 on the board and held We Have Gronk to 7 points. Hit Squad really stepped up, exceeding their average of 9.30 points per game. QB Anthony Kopp delivered two TDs, passing to Andrew Sledd and Charlmers Oscar for one TD each. The win for Hit Squad advances them to the championship game where they’ll take on the #3 seed, NCSA. We Have Gronk’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule.

 

NCSA (5-3) v. Redbirds (3-3-1) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

It was an exciting semi-final game, in which the #3 seed, NCSA, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #2 seed, Redbirds. With a final score of 14-13, NCSA is one game closer to the championship title.  They brought their A game on D in this one, beating their season points against average of 22.8 points per game. QB Tom threw two touchdowns, hitting Anthony Warrum for both of them.  In the loss, QB Alex Donnelly hit Pat Meehan and Adam P for one touchdown each. The win for NCSA advances them to the championship game where they’ll take on the #1 seed, Hit Squad. Redbirds are done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.
