Fall 2018 Wednesday Montrose 11v11 Soccer – Week 4

Train Wreck (3-1) vs. Alright Alright Alright (2-1-1) – Wednesday, October 17, and 2018

Train Wreck played well here and blanked Alright Alright Alright with a final score of 2-0. Train Wreck seems to have found their groove and has won two games in a row. To help gain the group the W, Matt  scored one goal. Next up for Train Wreck is a battle against Reside Living (0-4-0). Next up for Alright Alright Alright is a showdown versus INDY Team #5 (1-3-0), as they try to bounce back.

 

Zombies! (2-0-2) vs. Kick in a Box (1-2-1) – Wednesday, October 17, and 2018

Zombies! and Kick in a Box played to a draw and ended with a stalemate at 0-0. Kick in a Box don’t have a reputation of scoring a lot of goals this season, so this result wasn’t much of a surprise. They currently have a total of 2 goals over 4 games. They’re hungry for wins, but Zombies! have a streak of 2 draws.  For Kick in a Box next up is Blue Guys (2-0-2).  Exiting week 4, Zombies! looks ahead to Toe Ballers (2-2-0) who are next on the calendar.

 

Blue Guys (2-0-2) vs. Toe Ballers (2-2) – Wednesday, October 17, and 2018

Blue Guys and Toe Ballers competed in a Game where the defenses dominated, totaling three goals. Blue Guys took home the 2-1 victory. It’s week 4 and Toe Ballers have only scored a total of 5 goals all season. Matt scored the only goal for Toe Ballers to get his team on the board. Blue Guys buckled down in this contest, prevailing, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 2.5.  Michael King kicked one goal to lead the crew’s attack.  Next up for Toe Ballers is a match-up against Zombies! (2-0-2), as they attempt to rebound.  Blue Guys will look to stay unbeaten next week with a match-up versus Kick in a Box (1-2-1).

 

INDY Team #5 (1-3) vs. Reside Living (0-4) – Wednesday, October 17, and 2018

Sitting at the bottom of the standings table, these teams knew it was a battle to stay out of last place. Finally breaking their losing streak, INDY Team #5 snagged a win against Reside Living with a final score of 4-1. This heartbreaking loss comes when Reside Living scored their personal best of the season. Allen Wopinski scored the only goal for Reside Living to keep his team in the game. INDY Team #5 really brought their A game, topping their average of 1.3 goals per game.  Ryan Ferris kicked two goals, and Selene Sacchetti and Eric kicked one goal each to help get the group the win.  Reside Living will seek to get their first win next Wednesday against Train Wreck (3-1-0).  Next up for INDY Team #5 is a contest versus Alright Alright Alright (2-1-1).
