Shotskis Whynotskis (5-2) v. Premium Economy Middle Seat (0-7) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

In this play-in game, the #9 seed, Shotskis Whynotskis, took on the #24 seed, Premium Economy Middle Seat. By the score of 45-6, Shotskis Whynotskis got a dominant W to get their seventh-straight win.  They really brought their A game on the defensive end, beating their season points against average of 15.6 ppg. QB Brett Lukowicz passed five TDs, passing to David Rachke and Cody for two of TD each, Marissa Grapentine for one TD and rushed in one on his own. Allison also threw one touchdown to Brett Lukowicz for Shotskis Whynotskis. Despite the loss, Premium Economy Middle Seat really brought their best on in terms of scoring, topping their average of 3.40 points per game this season. In the loss, QB Scott Monfre hit Mark Kamin for one touchdown. Winning this play-in game means Shotskis Whynotskis advances to the second round of play-offs. Next week, they will face the #8 seeded team, CA. This is the end of the road for Premium Economy Middle Seat’s run in this league. There’s always next season!

 

The Flag Team Without Banners (5-2) v. 360i (0-7) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

Looks like 360i forfeited to The Flag Team Without Banners this week. Winning this play-in game means The Flag Team Without Banners advances to the second round of play-offs. Next week, they will face the #7 seeded team, [in] My Feelings. 360i is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.

 

BDO Blitzers (5-2) v. Taco in a bag (0-7) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

Taco in a bag forfeited to BDO Blitzers. The win for BDO Blitzers means a ticket to the second round of play-offs.  Next week, they will face the #6 seeded team, The Recruits. On the bright side for Taco in a bag, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season.

 

FourKites (4-3) v. The Good Hands (0-7) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

The Good Hands forfeited to FourKites this week. The win for FourKites means a ticket to the second round of play-offs.  Next week, they will face the #5 seeded team, No Punt Intended. They’ll take on the #5 seed, No Punt Intended. FourKites are the #12 seed but anything can happen in playoffs. The Good Hands is done with playoffs, which means it’s time for a team meeting at the bar to regroup for next season!

 

Better Late Than Never (4-4) v. Mud Dogs (0-7) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

In this play-in game, the #13 seed, Better Late Than Never, took on the #20 seed, Mud Dogs. Better Late Than Never really battled for this game, emerging victorious, despite scoring less than their avg. points per game of 17.10. QB Tyler passed one touchdown, which was caught by Eric Jakaitis and ran in one on his own. Better Late Than Never continues on their road to victory. They played Super Heroes In Training (S.H.I.T) in the second round of play-offs. Read about the outcome of that game below. Mud Dogs are done with playoffs, which means it’s time for a team meeting at the bar to regroup for next season!

 

Salty Sack (4-4) v. Chicago Hokies (0-7) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

Salty Sack, the #14 seed, played Chicago Hokies, the #19 seed, in this play-in game.  With a final score of 34-21, Salty Sack earned their third-straight W. These guys brought their A game on D in this game, beating their season points against average of 26.4 ppg. In the win, Eric threw TD passes and Austin threw one, finding Neko for two, and Chris, Dana, and Austin for one TD each. Even though they lost, Chicago Hokies really gave everything they had on the offensive end, topping their average of 14.60 points per game this season. In the loss, QB Edwin Romero hit Krishna Yalamanchili and John Temple for one touchdown each and rushed for one. The win for Salty Sack means a ticket to the second round of play-offs.  It also means they had another game in the same night. Gucci Gang (4-4) v. Bad News Bears (3-4) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

Looks like Bad News Bears gave Gucci Gang and easy advance into the second round of play-offs by forfeiting. Check out the game recap below to see how they did! Hopefully the loss doesn’t haunt Bad News Bears too much. There’s always next season.

 

Kiss Our End Zones (3-5) v. Little Giants (3-4) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

In this play-in game, the #16 seed, Little Giants, took on the #17 seed, Kiss Our End Zones. Kiss Our End Zones put 25 on the board and held Little Giants to 13 points. Kiss Our End Zones really stepped up in this game, exceeding their average of 19.40 points per game. QB Devin Schlueter delivered three touchdowns, passing to Kyle for two of them, and AJ for the other one. The win for Kiss Our End Zones means a ticket to the second round of play-offs. Flaggin’ Ball Z (7-0) v. Kiss Our End Zones (3-5) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

Flaggin’ Ball Z, the #1 seed, played the #17 seed, Kiss Our End Zones in this play-in game.  The final score of 60-21 reflects the hard work Flaggin’ Ball Z put into every minute of the game. Flaggin’ Ball Z really brought their A game in this game, beating their average of 40.30 points per game. QB Joe Gill passed seven scores, finding Connie Syhabandith, Michelle and Gabe for two scores each, and Nicholas Ma for one score. During the loss for Kiss Our End Zones, QB Kyle threw one touchdown. The win for Flaggin’ Ball Z means a ticket to quarter-finals.  Next week, they will face the winner of the #8 vs. #9 play-in game in the quarter-finals. Kiss Our End Zones’ loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule.

 

Legion of Boom (7-0) v. Gucci Gang (4-4) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

Legion of Boom, the #2 seed, blew out Gucci Gang, the #15 seed, by the final score of 42-6.  Legion of Boom stepped up in this one, topping their average of 37.10 points per game. QB Mike Migut passed six TDs, passing to Latoya Jackson and Rob for two TDs each, and Tomas Ross and Keri for one TD each. The win for Legion of Boom means a ticket to quarter-finals. Next week, they will face the winner of the #7 vs. #10 seed game. On the bright side for Gucci Gang, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season.

 

ChicaGo Badgers (7-0) v. Salty Sack (4-4) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

The #3 seed, ChicaGo Badgers, took on the #14 seed, Salty Sack in this play-in game. The last time these two teams met in week 5, ChicaGo Badgers won 48-44. No surprise here, the results were very similar this time. With a final score of 32-24, ChicaGo Badgers remains unbeaten. This team, ChicaGo Badgers, battled hard for this game, winning, despite scoring less than their avg. points per game of 36.00. QB Cal Ehrke threw three touchdowns, finding Zach Thuecks, Michael Sebring, and Dylan for one touchdown each and rushed in one on his own. The win for ChicaGo Badgers means a ticket to quarter-finals.  Next week, they will face the winner of the #6 vs. #11 seed game. On the bright side for Salty Sack, they can rest a little longer before the next season.

 

 

Super Heroes In Training (S.H.I.T) (5-2) v. Better Late Than Never (4-4) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018

In this play-in game, the #4 seed, Super Heroes In Training (S.H.I.T), took on the #13 seed, Better Late Than Never. They brought it on the defensive end in this game, beating their season points against average of 13.9 points per game. QB Kevin Linklater passed four scores, finding Bryan Malkowski for two of them. Winning this play-in game means Super Heroes In Training (S.H.I.T) advances to Quarter-Finals. Next week, they will face the winner of the #5 vs. #12 seed game.
