Fall 2018 Tuesday CIBC Coed Soccer – Week 6

The Ball Handlers (1-4-1) vs. Kick in a Box (0-4-2) – Tuesday, January 15, 2019

The Ball Handlers wrapped up the regular season with a 3-0 win against Kick in a Box. This game was their first win of the season and it helped keep them out of last place in the standings. The Ball Handlers’ goalie Mark got a clean sheet in this one. To lead the team’s offense, Dillon, AJ, and David lasered in one goal each. The Ball Handlers’ win this week locked in their spot as the #10 seed for playoffs. They’ll face the #7 seeded team, Chubby Alonsos. Kick in a Box was unable to get rolling in this game, but they’ve had 5 overall goals this season. It was a rough regular season for Kick in a Box, who finished as the 11th place seed. They’ll face the #6 seeded team, Double Credenza FC (3-2-1).

 

SALT United (3-3) vs. PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE (0-4-2) – Tuesday, January 15, 2019

SALT United played amazing in this shut out against PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE with a final score of 4-0. PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this game and came short of making it onto the scoreboard. SALT United is heating up with two wins in a row. Their goalie Jovan Milunovic got a clean sheet in this one. To help gain the group the W, Boras had two goals. It was a rough regular season for PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE, who finished as the 12th place seed. They’ll face the #5 seeded team, BMcD (3-2-1). It’s time for playoffs! SALT United is heating up with this week’s win, which lands them in 8th place for the at the end of the regular season. Can they keep the streak going when they play the #9 team, INDY Team #6?

 

BMcD (3-2-1) vs. INDY Team #6 (2-3-1) – Tuesday, January 15, 2019

BMcD beat INDY Team #6 8-1 in this week’s match. INDY Team #6 were unable to get rolling on offense in this game, scoring less than their average of 1.7 goals per game this year. Scott Hull scored the only goal for INDY Team #6 to save his team from embarrassment. Karston Sheppard leads BMcD this season in scoring and added to their stats this week with 2 goals bringing Karston Sheppard’s personal total to 4. Also kicking two goals was Kristin Rodriguez. Kelly Cumiskey, Carmelo Castillo, Caleb Peterson, and Nel Ciudar also helped earn the team the W with one goal each. It was a rough regular season for INDY Team #6, who finished as the 9th place seed. They’ll face the #8 seeded team, SALT United (3-3-0). BMcD’s win this Tuesday locked in their spot as the #5 seed in the playoff bracket. They’ll face the #12 seeded team, PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE.

 

Beercelona (3-0-4) vs. Chubby Alonsos (2-1-3) – Tuesday, January 15, 2019

Both hoping for a win to boost their standings for playoffs, Beercelona and Chubby Alonsos finished with a tie of 4-4 in this match. Beercelona had an astounding offensive season. They’re averaging 4 goals per game. For Beercelona, Connor Welby netted three goals and Jose Vidal netted one goal to guide the group’s offense. This is Chubby Alonsos’s third tie this season and they’re currently sitting in seventh place in the standings. In the tie, Craig Ludington and Ariel Godinez kicked two goals each for Chubby Alonsos. This week’s tie locked in Beercelona for the #1 seed going into playoffs. Next week they face the winner of the #8 vs. #9 seed game. Chubby Alonsos used this game to claim the 7th seed. They take on the #10 seed team, The Ball Handlers (1-4-1), in the first round of playoffs.

 

Double Credenza FC (3-2-1) vs. JLL Soccer (3-1-2) – Tuesday, January 15, 2019

Double Credenza FC and JLL Soccer had a draw and concluded all tied at 3-3. Double Credenza FC have a lot of scoring power. They’re averaging 4 goals per game. For Double Credenza FC, Kevin Jack, Omar Munoz, and Jason scored one goal each to provide some scoring. This week’s tie locked in Double Credenza FC for the #6 seed going into playoffs. Next week they face Kick in a Box. This is JLL Soccer’s second tie this season and they’re currently sitting in fourth place in the standings. In the tie, Krystin D kicked two goals and Wojtek Kowalczyk kicked one goal for JLL Soccer. JLL Soccer used this game to claim the 4th seed. They take on the winner of the #5 vs. #12 seed game in the quarterfinals.

 

GCM Grosvenor (4-2) vs. INDY Team #12 (3-1-1) – Tuesday, January 15, 2019

GCM Grosvenor beat INDY Team #12 12-2 in this week’s match. GCM Grosvenor is having an amazing offensive season. They’re averaging 6 goals per game. Mary earned a hat trick with four goals, Joe kicked three goals, Daniel Jasper and Jeff Lorden kicked two goals each, and Alan R. kicked one goal to help earn the club the W. This is INDY Team #12’s first loss of the season. The losing team still had notable players including Selena Sacchetti and Don Perry, who scored one goal each for INDY Team #12. GCM Grosvenor’s win this week locked them in as the #3 seed for playoffs. They’ll face the winner of the #6 vs. #11 seed game. Despite the loss this week, INDY Team #12 locked in their spot at the #2 seed. They’ll face the winner of the #7 vs. #10 seed game.
