Fall 2018 Thursday Lincoln Park South Coed Rec Football – Week 6

Park at the Park (5-1) v. We Ain’t Come to Play School (5-2) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

They weren’t the favored team, but Park at the Park, the #9 seed upset the #5 seed, We Ain’t Come to Play School, in this last week of regular season games. Park at the Park put 34 on the board and held We Ain’t Come to Play School to 19 points.  They really buckled down in this game, emerging victorious despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 16.7 points per game. QB Blaise Bakke delivered one touchdown, which was caught by Nathan Haynes and ran for three more.  During the loss for We Ain’t Come to Play School, QB Chris R hit Tyler Tucker for two touchdowns and Colin Hudson for one touchdown. Park at the Park’s win this Thursday locked in their spot as the #9 seed for playoffs. They’ll face the #8 seeded team, Hub-a-dub. The loss for We Ain’t Come to Play School leaves them as the #5 seed heading into playoffs. They’ll face the #12 seeded team, INDY Team #11 (2-4-0).

 

Smiling Politely (4-2) v. PG Warriors (2-4) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

Smiling Politely, the #7 seed, played the #11 seed, PG Warriors in this last week of regular season games.  By the score of 35-13, Smiling Politely got a huge W. Smiling Politely really stepped up, exceeding their average of 24.80 points per game. QB Mike Regent delivered five scores, hitting Lisa for two of them.  In the loss for PG Warriors, QB Jimmy Holloran hit J for one touchdown and scampered in for one. Smiling Politely’s win this Thursday locked in their spot as the #7 seed going into playoffs. They’ll face the #10 seeded team, No Punt Intended. It was a rough regular season for PG Warriors, who finished as the 11th place seed. They’ll face the #6 seeded team, Big Ch*ty (4-3-0).

 

Bucky’s Sack (1-5) v. Flag Strippers (2-4) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

In this last week of regular season games, the #16 seed, Flag Strippers, took on the #17 seed, Bucky’s Sack.  By the score of 31-20, Bucky’s Sack got a respectable W.  Bucky’s Sack really brought their A game, topping their average of 12.70 ppg. QB Danny Davis and Annie Thul each delivered one touchdown, which was caught by Kevin Lintner and Kevin Kazlow.  During the loss for Flag Strippers, QB Kameron Bouchard hit Kevin for two touchdowns. QB Leanna Stockard threw one touchdown to Nicholas Swiatkowski as well. Bucky’s Sack’s win this Thursday solidified their spot as the #17 seed for playoffs next week. Flag Strippers, finished as the #16 seed. Interestingly these two teams will rematch in the first round of playoffs next week.

 

Accounts Playable (4-1) v. Jordan Crawford’s Finest (2-4) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

With both teams fighting for a better seed in the playoffs, the #3 seed, Accounts Playable, won by just a 5-point margin against the #14 seed, Jordan Crawford’s Finest. The final score of 19-14 reflects the hard work Accounts Playable put into every minute of the game.  This team really fought hard for this one, emerging victorious, despite scoring less than their avg. points per game of 35.20. QB Matthew Lynch threw one score, which was caught by Michael Scherpenberg and rushed in two on his own.  During the loss for Jordan Crawford’s Finest, QB Stephen Barrett hit Michael Butler for one touchdown. It’s time for playoffs! Accounts Playable is heating up with this week’s win, which lands them in 3rd place for the at the end of the regular season. They’ll face the winner of the #14 seed vs. #19 seed game, and try to keep their streak going in the first week of playoffs. It was a rough regular season for Jordan Crawford’s Finest, who finished as the 14th place seed. They’ll face the #19 seeded team, Sacks and Racks (0-6-0).

 

Hub-a-dub (4-2) v. CheapTickets (6-1) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

They weren’t the favored team, but Hub-a-dub, the #8 seed upset the #1 seed, CheapTickets, in this last game of the regular season. With a final score of 42-34, Hub-a-dub is fired up and ready for the next match.  Hub-a-dub really brought their A game in this one, beating their average of 28.70 points per game. QB Andrew Canestri delivered three TDs, finding Blaine Skinner, Bryant Herlocker, and Nick for one TD each and ran for two more. For CheapTickets, QB Ethan Lohmann hit Dylan St Clair for two touchdowns, and Sebastian Stankiewicz and Anastasia Truesdell for one touchdown each, and rushed for one more. It’s time for playoffs! Hub-a-dub is heating up with this week’s win, which lands them in 8th place for the at the end of the regular season. They’ll face Park at the Park (#9 seed) and try keep their streak going in the first week of playoffs. Even with a loss this week, CheapTickets was so far ahead in the rankings, they locked in the #1 seed for playoffs. They’ll face the winner of the #16 vs. #17 seed game.

 

Midway BlitZ (5-1) v. INDY Team #11 (2-4) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

In this last game of the regular season, the #2 seed, Midway BlitZ, took on the #12 seed, INDY Team #11. With a final score of 40-6, Midway BlitZ earned their third-straight W.  QB Jamonti Robinson threw four scores, hitting Shaquille T for two of them, & Ana Navarro and Monet Mailey for one score each. Monet Mailey also passed one score to Jamonti Robinson for Midway Blitz. For INDY Team #11, in the loss, QB Nick Fackler hit Lisa Sroka for one touchdown. Midway BlitZ’s win this week locked in their spot as the #2 seed for playoffs. They’ll face the winner of the #15 vs #16 seed game. It was a rough regular season for INDY Team #11, who finished as the 12th place seed. They’ll face the #5 seeded team, We Ain’t Come to Play School (5-2-0).

 

Burn Early (5-1) v. Past Our Primetime (1-5) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

The #4 seed, Burn Early, took on the #18 seed, Past Our Primetime in this last game of the regular. With a final score of 38-19, Burn Early hopes to keep their momentum going as they advance in playoffs.  These guys really brought it on defense in this one, beating their season points against average of 22.5 points per game. QB Matt Stern passed four scores and Macy Mulhall passed one, passing to Alex Jirschele for two of them, and finding Christopher Schleckser, Eric Larsen, Kevin Berens, and Andy for the others. Even with a loss Past Our Primetime did everything they could on offense in this one, topping their average of 16.80 points per game this year. In the loss, QB Alexander Mikulaschek hit Tony Karafiat for one touchdown and rushed for one more. Burn Early’s win this week solidified their spot as the #4 seed for playoffs. They’ll face the #13 seeded team, Sell-side Stiff Arms. It was a rough regular season for Past Our Primetime, who finished as the 18th place seed. They’ll face the #15 seeded team, GT Football (3-3-0).

 

No Punt Intended (2-4) v. Sell-side Stiff Arms (1-4) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

Sell-side Stiff Arms forfeited to No Punt Intended. It’s time for playoffs! No Punt Intended is heating up with this week’s win, which lands them in 10th place for the at the end of the regular season. They’ll face Smiling Politely (#7 seed) and try keep their streak going in the first week of playoffs. It was a rough regular season for Sell-side Stiff Arms, who finished as the 13th place seed. They’ll face the #4 seeded team, Burn Early (5-1-0).

 

Midway BlitZ (5-1) v. GT Football (3-3) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

Midway BlitZ, the #2 seed, played the #15 seed, GT Football in this Last week of regular season game.  Midway BlitZ put 42 on the board and held GT Football to 26 points. In the win, QB Jamonti Robinson passed three TDs, hitting Shaquille T for two of them and scampered for two more.  In the loss, QB Jack M hit Ari Franklin for two touchdowns. Midway BlitZ’s win this week solidified their spot as the #2 seed in the playoff bracket It just wasn’t their season as GT Football finished as the 15th place seed. They’ll face the #18 seeded team, Past Our Primetime (1-5-0).

 

Big Ch*ty (4-3) v. Sacks and Racks (0-6) – Thursday, October 18, and 2018

Sacks and Racks forfeited to Big Ch*ty. PLAYOFF TIME! Big Ch*ty is heating up with this week’s win, which lands them in 6th place for the at the end of the regular season. They’ll face PG Warriors (#11 seed) and try keep their streak going in the first week of playoffs. With no wins this season, it’s no surprise Sacks and Racks finished as the 19th place seed. They’ll face the #14 seeded team, Jordan Crawford’s Finest (2-4-0).
