Grass Kickers (7-1-1) vs. Not So Indy (5-3-1) – Thursday, November 29, and 2018

The #4 seed, Not So Indy, forfeited to the #1 seed, Grass Kickers in this Semi-Final game. Not So Indy had a great run this season but they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Grass Kickers advanced to the Championship game. Read the recap below to find out how they did.

 

New Team Who Dis (5-1-2) vs. ABCDE FC Dyslexia United (2-5-1) – Thursday, November 29, and 2018

It was an exciting semi-final match, in which the #3 seed, New Team Who Dis, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #7 seed, ABCDE FC Dyslexia United. Cody Schott and Dexter Biddick both scored in this playoff win for New Team Who Dis, putting one shot each past the ABCDE FC Dyslexia United goalkeeper, Max Dutram. The exciting win for New Team Who Dis advanced them to the championship game. Read the Championship recap below to see how they finished. In the loss, Sean Heard scored the only goal for ABCDE FC Dyslexia United to save his team from a shutout. ABCDE FC Dyslexia United’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule.

 

Grass Kickers (7-1-1) vs. New Team Who Dis (5-1-2) – Thursday, November 29, and 2018

In this exciting Championship Game, the #1 team, Grass Kickers played the #3 team, New Team Who Dis, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. Ross Munro scored the only goal for New Team Who. Grass Kickers were fired up for the championship. Robert Thomashow and Annie Regan scored two and one goal respectively in this championship win. Losing the championship game is never easy, but New Team Who Dis lost with grace. We hope to see them back next season for another chance at the title.  Congratulations to Grass Kickers on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.
