Fall 2018 Sunday CIBC Coed Soccer – Week 5

Good Vibes Only (5-0) vs. Treadmill Trotters (4-2) – Sunday, January 13, and 2019

Good Vibes Only blanked Treadmill Trotters with a final score of just 1-0. Treadmill Trotters didn’t have their best stuff on offense in this game and suffered a shutout. Good Vibes Only is having an amazing offensive season. They’re averaging 4 goals per game. Their goalkeeper August played very well in the shutout. To help earn the team the W, Andrew and Henry scored two goals each, and Mark Collao, Oscar V and Leo scored one goal each. Next up for Treadmill Trotters is a showdown versus Atletico WB (4-0-1), as they look to rebound. Good Vibes Only will try to remain perfect next week with a pairing against Football Sundays 2.0 (2-3-0).

 

Atletico WB (4-0-1) vs. Rugrats (0-5) – Sunday, January 13, and 2019

In this match, Atletico WB beat Rugrats 7-1. Atletico WB is having a fantastic offensive season. They’re averaging 6 goals per game. Patrick Hodan got a hat trick with three goals to lead the group’s offense. Also providing some scoring was Josh Hyde and Mick Jeonzi. It’s week 5 and Rugrats have only scored a total of 2 goals all season. Lindsey Dewitt scored the only goal for Rugrats to prevent the shut out. On Sunday, Atletico WB try to stay perfect with a match-up versus Treadmill Trotters (4-2-0). Rugrats seeks to put a 1 in the win column next week versus Bayer N Advil (0-1-1).

 

Blue Barracudas (2-3) vs. For Fuch’s Sake (1-4-1) – Sunday, January 13, and 2019

Blue Barracudas beat For Fuch’s Sake 3-1 in this game. For Fuch’s Sake really didn’t have their best stuff in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 1.8 GPG this year. Leah Textor scored the only goal for For Fuch’s Sake to get their team on the board. Next up for For Fuch’s Sake is a match-up against Indy Team #2 (2-3-0), as they try to bounce back. Blue Barracudas are heating up with two wins in a row. Christopher Hines fired two goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet. Blue Guys (2-1-0) are next up on the schedule for Blue Barracudas, as they look to keep it going.

 

The Wombats (2-1) vs. Football Sundays 2.0 (2-3) – Sunday, January 13, and 2019

The Wombats beat Football Sundays 2.0 6-1 in this game. Football Sundays 2.0 really struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this game, scoring less than their average of 3.4 goals per game for the year. JD scored the only goal for Football Sundays 2.0 to prevent the shut out. Next up for Football Sundays 2.0 is a showdown against Good Vibes Only (5-0-0), as they try to bounce back. This win is the second in a row for The Wombats, and it bumps them to 4th place in the standings. Zach Erny earned a hat trick with five goals to help earn the crew the win. Next up for The Wombats is a throwdown against Bird’s Nest (4-0-1).

 

Bird’s Nest (4-0-1) vs. INDY Team #11 (0-3-2) – Sunday, January 13, and 2019

Bird’s Nest played incredible on both sides of the pitch against INDY Team #11 with a final score of 6-0. Bird’s Nest have had a strong offense so far this season. They’re averaging 4 goals per game. Steve Wilheieser got a hat trick with three goals to help get the team the W.  Also providing some scoring with one goal each for Bird’s Nest was Raymond Soto, Ryan Lindgren, and Tiffany Brugman. Next Sunday, Bird’s Nest battles against The Wombats (2-1-0) in an attempt to remain undefeated. INDY Team #11 had two games this week. They struggled in this match, and they now sit in 13th place in the standings.  INDY Team #11 tries to get their first win next week against Hungry Hungry Suarez (3-2-0).

 

INDY Team #11 (0-3-2) vs. Bayer N Advil (0-1-1) – Sunday, January 13, and 2019

INDY Team #11 and Bayer N Advil played to a draw and ended all tied at 2-2. INDY Team #11 had two games this week. Perhaps on a night they only had one game, this tie could have been a victory. For INDY Team #11, Grant Wiseman kicked two goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet. Bayer N Advil had a double header this week. They’re not winning and they’re not losing, as they both matches were ties. In the tie, Emily Affinito and Ben Ach scored one goal each for Bayer N Advil. Exiting week 5, INDY Team #11 will look ahead to Hungry Hungry Suarez (3-2-0) who are next on the docket.  For Bayer N Advil they will face off with Rugrats (0-5-0).

 

Indy Team #2 (2-3) vs. Bayer N Advil (0-1-1) – Sunday, January 13, and 2019

Indy Team #2 beat Bayer N Advil 7-3 in this game. This was one of two games for Bayer N Advil. The losing team still had notable players including Ben Ach, who scored two goals for Bayer N Advil. This is the second week in a row Indy Team #2 took home the win. Ben Bayles got a hat trick with four goals, and Al Organ scored three goals to help earn the club the W.  Next week, Bayer N Advil faces off against Rugrats (0-5-0) in an attempt to break their winless streak. For Fuch’s Sake (1-4-1) are next up on the calendar for Indy Team #2, as they look to keep it going.

 

Hungry Hungry Suarez (3-2) vs. Blue Guys (2-1) – Sunday, January 13, and 2019

Hungry Hungry Suarez were amazing in this shut out against Blue Guys with a final score of 4-0. Hungry Hungry Suarez really stepped up in this one, besting their average of 3.0 goals per game. The team’s goalie Michael Drackley got a clean sheet in this one. To help earn the team the victory, David Allard had two goals, and Kelly and Matthew Parrilli had one goal each. INDY Team #11 (0-3-2) is next up on the calendar for Hungry Hungry Suarez, as they look to keep it going. This is Blue Guys’s first loss of the season.
