Flags & Flasks (3-5) v. We Touchdown There (0-7) – Saturday, October 27, and 2018

We Touchdown There forfeited to Flags & Flasks. Flags & Flasks continues on their road to victory. Since the quarter-final was a double header for these guys, check out the game recap below to see how they did! On the bright side for We Touchdown There, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season.

 

BEEFCAKES (2-5-1) v. INDY Team #6 (1-6) – Saturday, October 27, and 2018

In this Play-in game, the #8 seed, BEEFCAKES, took on the #9 seed, INDY Team #6. With a final score of 36-8, BEEFCAKES are fired up and ready for the next match.  BEEFCAKES really stepped up in this one, exceeding their average of 25.00 points per game. QB John Worley passed four TDs and Kristin Wharton passed one, passing to Anthony Chignoli for three of them, and Joe & Kevin for the other two. In the loss, QB Kevin Maser hit Noam Paoletti for one touchdown. BEEFCAKES continue on their road to the championship. Without much of a rest, they jumped straight into that game the same night. Mongrels (7-0) v. BEEFCAKES (2-5-1) – Saturday, October 27, and 2018

In this Quarter-final game, the #1 seed, Mongrels, took on the #8 seed, BEEFCAKES. By the score of 30-18, Mongrels got a nice W to stay undefeated.  They showed some toughness in this one, earning the win despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 16.1 points per game. QB Mark Macleod passed two TDs, finding both Jake W and Courtney for one of them and scampered in three on his own.  In the loss, QB Kristin Wharton hit both Joe and Anthony Chignoli for one touchdown. Mongrels advance to semi-finals where they’ll take on the #4 seed, Off In The Shower. They’re just two games away from the championship title. This is the end of the road for BEEFCAKES’s run in this league. There’s always next season!

 

Shark Attack (6-1) v. Flags & Flasks (3-5) – Saturday, October 27, and 2018

In this Quarter-final game, the #2 seed, Shark Attack, took on the #7 seed, Flags & Flasks. The final score of 40-20 reflects the hard work Shark Attack put into every minute of the game.  Shark Attack really showed up, exceeding their average of 30.40 ppg. QB Tom Ryan threw five scores, passing to Jake and Mike Pauletti for two of them each, and Dave Wolfson and Eric for one each.  For Flags & Flasks, in the loss, QB Katie hit Byron for one touchdown. Shark Attack advances to semi-finals where they’ll take on the #6 seed, Run and Gun. They’re just two games away from the championship title. Flags & Flasks’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule.

 

Run and Gun (3-3-1) v. The Shockers (5-3) – Saturday, October 27, and 2018

Heading into this Quarter-final game, The Shockers were coming off a win by forfeit. They were the #3 seed facing the #6 seed, Run and Gun. With their higher rank and momentum from last week, The Shockers went into this game thinking they would be going on to Semi-Finals. With a final score of 33-31, Run and Gun grabbed this W. QB Richie Foreman passed three TDs, finding Ralph May, Morgan Fitzpatrick, and Derrick for one TD each and ran in two on his own. This week’s win advances Run and Gun to semi-finals. They’ll face the #2 seed, Shark Attack and the winner will move on to the championship match. This is the end of the road for The Shockers’ run in this league. There’s always next season!

 

Off In The Shower (5-2) v. Rebels (4-4) – Saturday, October 27, and 2018

The 4th place vs 5th place game is usually one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket. However, that wasn’t the case for this game. With a final score of 40-7, Off In The Shower grabbed this W. They showed up on D in this game, beating their season points against average of 16.0 points per game. QB Tom Ryan delivered five scores, passing to Jake Ruzas for three of them, and Mike Pauletti for two of them. This week’s win advances Off In The Shower to semi-finals. They’ll face the #1 seed, Mongrels and the winner will move on to the championship match. Rebels had a great run this season, but they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs.
