Fall 2018 Saturday Lincoln Park Coed Rec Flag Football – Week 6

Rebels (4-3) v. Shark Attack (5-1) – Saturday, October 20, and 2018

In this exciting 1-touchdown last week of regular season game, Rebels, the #5 seed upset the #2 seed, Shark Attack. Rebels put 26 on the board and held Shark Attack to 20 points. QB Dino delivered four scores, passing to Dominik, Rob, Jessica, and Michelle for one score each. In the loss, QB Tom Ryan hit Jake, Mike Pauletti, and Lisa Wilmer for one touchdown each. Rebels’ win this week locked in their spot as the #5 seed going into playoffs. They’ll face the #4 seeded team, Off In The Shower. Despite the loss this week, Shark Attack locked in their spot at the #2 seed. They’ll face winner of the #7 vs #10 seed game.

 

Run and Gun (2-3-1) v. We Touchdown There (0-6) – Saturday, October 20, and 2018

We Touchdown There forfeited to Run and Gun. Run and Gun’s win this Saturday locked them in as the #6 seed going into playoffs. They’ll face the #3 seeded team, The Shockers in the quarter-finals. It was a rough regular season for We Touchdown There, who finished as the 10th place seed. They’ll face the #7 seeded team, Flags & Flasks (2-4-0) in the play in round.

 

Off In The Shower (4-2) v. We Touchdown There (0-6) – Saturday, October 20, and 2018

We Touchdown There forfeited to Off In The Shower. Off In The Shower’s win this Saturday solidified their spot as the #4 seed in the playoff bracket. They’ll face the #5 seeded team, Rebels in the quarter-finals.

 

The Shockers (5-2) v. BEEFCAKES (1-4-1) – Saturday, October 20, and 2018

In this last week of regular season game, the #3 seed, The Shockers, played the #8 seed, BEEFCAKES.  The Shockers put 38 on the board and held BEEFCAKES to 31 points. They really buckled down in this game, emerging victorious despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 18.7 ppg. QB Mike threw four TDs, passing to Ashley, Jason Ross, and Stephanie for some scoring. Even though they lost, BEEFCAKES gave it their all on the offensive end in this game, exceeding their average of 24.30 points per game this season. For BEEFCAKES, in the loss, QB Eric Hennessey hit Josh Thomas for two touchdowns and Stephanie Manikas hit Jaclyn Diaz for one touchdown, and ran in one on his own. It’s time for playoffs! The Shockers is heating up with this week’s win, which lands them in 3rd place for the at the end of the regular season. They’ll face Run and Gun (#6 seed) and try keep their streak going in the first week of playoffs. The loss dropped BEEFCAKES down to the #8 seed. They’ll face the #9 seeded team, INDY Team #6 (1-5-0).

 

Mongrels (6-0) v. Flags & Flasks (2-4) – Saturday, October 20, and 2018

No one expected this last week of regular season game to be such a close one. Mongrels, the #1 seed barely squeaked by in this 1-touchdown game to beat the #7 seed, Flags & Flasks ending the game with a score of of 32-26. Mongrels really showed some grit in this one, winning despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 15.8 points per game. QB Mark Macleod passed four touchdowns, finding Karlo Stetic for three of them, Danny for one of them, and scampered for one with his legs. Flags & Flasks did everything they could on offense in this game even though they lost, topping their average of 23.50 ppg this year. For Flags & Flasks, in the loss, QB Katie hit Ryan Murphy for one touchdown and ran in one on her own. Matt Sandt also had two rushing TD’s to add to the final score. Mongrels had a perfect regular season and locked in the easiest path to the championship for playoffs. Mongrels will play the winner of the #8 vs. #9 seed game in the quarter-finals. The loss for Flags & Flasks leaves them as the #7 seed heading into playoffs. They’ll face the #10 seeded team, We Touchdown There (0-6-0).

 

The Shockers (5-2) v. INDY Team #6 (1-5) – Saturday, October 20, and 2018

INDY Team #6 forfeited to The Shockers. It’s time for playoffs! The Shockers are heating up with this week’s win, which lands them in 3rd place at the end of the regular season. Can they keep the streak going when they play the #6 team, Run and Gun? The one win they got this season wasn’t enough to make movement in the standings table as INDY Team #6 finished as the 9th place seed. They’ll face the #8 seeded team, BEEFCAKES (1-4-1).
