Cat Facts FC (4-2-1) vs. Jimmy Saville’s U10s (2-3-2) – Saturday, January 19, 2019

Cat Facts FC and Jimmy Saville’s U10s finished in a draw and finished with a stalemate at 2-2. Cat Facts FC continue to show they are a team that is good at scoring. They’re averaging 3 goals per game. For Cat Facts FC, Alec Macintyre and Sarah Ludwig fired one goal each to provide some scoring. This week’s tie locked in Cat Facts FC for the #2 seed going into playoffs. Next week they face INDY Team #7. Cat Facts FC is the favored team as they won 6-0 last time they played INDY Team #7. They’ve met even competition the past two weeks and Jimmy Saville’s U10s have a streak of 2 tie games. In the tie, Willie Nelson and Cindy had one goal each for Jimmy Saville’s U10s. Jimmy Saville’s U10s used this game to claim the 4th seed. They take on the #5 seed team, Delaps Dozen (2-4-1), in the first round of playoffs. These two teams met in week 5 resulting in a 2-2 tie. The higher ranked Jimmy Saville’s U10s shouldn’t expect an easy win.

 

Squad Goals (4-2) vs. INDY Team #7 (1-5) – Saturday, January 19, 2019

Squad Goals beat INDY Team #7 4-2 in this week’s match. Squad Goals have a lot of scoring power. They’re averaging 4 goals per game. Paul Sanderude kicked two goals, and Brianna Kunycky and Bridget Turpin kicked one goal each to spearhead the team’s attack. Squad Goals’s win this week locked them in as the #3 seed. They’ll face the #6 seeded team, Turtle Shells. The last time these teams met, Squad Goals won 4-1. INDY Team #7 gave it their all on offense despite losing, besting their average of 1.5 goals per game for the year. The losing team still had notable players including Martin Gallagher and Connor Cady, who scored one goal each for INDY Team #7. The loss for INDY Team #7 leaves them as the #7 seed heading into playoffs. They’ll face the #2 seeded team, Cat Facts FC (4-2-1).

 

Delaps Dozen (2-4-1) vs. Turtle Shells (2-5) – Saturday, January 19, 2019

Delaps Dozen wrapped up the regular season with a double header and benefited from a win in this game, beating Turtle Shells 5-1. Turtle Shells really didn’t have their best stuff on offense in this one, scoring less than their average of 2.3 GPG for the season. Ben Kellner scored the only goal for Turtle Shells to prevent the shut out. The loss for Turtle Shells leaves them as the #6 seed heading into playoffs. They’ll face the #3 seeded team, Squad Goals (4-2-0).  Delaps Dozen had two games this week. This was the better played match, which helped them lock in their #5 rank in the standings table. Katie K accounted for two goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet. Also providing some scoring was Kim LaBarge, Dan Webster, and Raheel Hassan with one goal each. Delaps Dozen’s win this week locked them in as the #5 seed. They’ll face the #4 seeded team, Jimmy Saville’s U10s. The last time these teams met, Delaps Dozen won 2-2.

 

Team America (6-0) vs. Delaps Dozen (2-4-1) – Saturday, January 19, 2019

Team America beat Delaps Dozen 5-2 in this week’s match. Delaps Dozen had two games this week. This was the tougher match of the two, and they now sit in 5th place in the standings. The losing team still had notable players including Maggie Kistner and Neemesh Desai, who scored one goal each for Delaps Dozen. The loss dropped Delaps Dozen down to the #5 seed. They’ll face the #4 seeded team, Jimmy Saville’s U10s (2-3-2).  Team America is having a remarkable offensive season. They’re averaging 5 goals per game. Shon Carroll, Matt L, Michael Gallimore, Mihir Mullick, and Adam K accounted for one goal each to provide some scoring. Team America had a perfect regular season and locked in the first place seed for playoffs. Whoever wins in the #4 vs. #5 seed match, will have to bring everything they’ve got to beat Team America in the semi-finals.
