Fall 2018 Saturday CIBC Coed Flag Football – Week 7 (Playoffs)

Kiss My End Zone (1-7) v. Galvins Garage (2-5) – Saturday, January 26, and 2019

The 4th place vs 5th place game is always one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket. With a final score of 35-33, Kiss My End Zone grabbed this W. The last time these two teams met in week 2, Galvins Garage won 39-21, so it looks like Kiss My End Zone finally got their sweet revenge. Kiss My End Zone really showed up in this one, topping their average of 22.60 points per game. QB Luke threw five TDs, passing to Tom Larson for two of them, and Lauren Ellis, Stephanie Meram, and Alexa for the other three. Galvins Garage played their A game in this one despite the loss, exceeding their average of 22.60 ppg this season. During the loss, QB David hit Matt for three touchdowns. This win advanced Kiss My End Zone to semi-finals, which was played as a double header against Return to Tot Mountain. The exciting recap of that game is below. Galvins Garage is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.

 

Kiss My End Zone (1-7) v. Return to Tot Mountain (8-2) – Saturday, January 26, and 2019

In this exciting 2-point semi-final game, Kiss My End Zone, the #5 seed took an L to the #1 seed, Return to Tot Mountain. Return to Tot Mountain put 39 on the board and held Kiss My End Zone to 37 points.  Return to Tot Mountain brought their A game in this one, beating their average of 22.60 points per game. QB Luke threw six scores, finding Tom Larson for three of them. For Return to Tot Mountain, QB Blake Hammond hit Aaron Rawls and Octavia Bonds for two touchdowns each. The win for Return to Tot Mountain advances them to the championship game where they’ll take on the #2 seed, Midway MonStars. This is the end of the road Kiss My End Zone’s run in this league. Midway MonStars (7-1) v. INDY Team #6 (3-5) – Saturday, January 26, and 2019

Midway MonStars were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 46 points last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #2 seed playing the #3 seed, INDY Team #6. They confidently took the win to advance to the Championship Game. Midway MonStars put 40 on the board and held INDY Team #6 to 6 points. Midway MonStars are averaging 34.9 ppg. QB Jamonte passed four touchdowns and Reese passed one touchdown, hitting Tomas Ross for two of them, and Reese, TI, and Troy accounting for the other three passes. In the loss for INDY Team #6, QB Nick hit Charles Buckner for one touchdown. The win for Midway MonStars advances them to the championship game where they’ll take on the #1 seed, Return to Tot Mountain. This is the end of the road for INDY Team #6’s run in this league.
