Cat Facts FC (6-3-1) vs. Squad Goals (5-3) – Saturday, February 2, 2019

Cat Facts FC were coming off a win by forfeit last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #2 seed playing the #3 seed, Squad Goals. They played well and took the win to advance to the Championship Game. Despite losing, Squad Goals have been doing great on offense, with a total of 26 goals. Adam Kunkel scored the only goal for Squad Goals to prevent the shut out. Squad Goals is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon. In the win, Kelly Stapleton scored two goals and Adam Jabs scored one goal in this playoff win for Cat Facts FC, putting shots past the Squad Goals goalkeeper, Aaron Myer. Jimmy Saville’s U10s (5-3-2) vs. Cat Facts FC (6-3-1) – Saturday, February 2, 2019

In this Championship Game, the #4 team, Jimmy Saville’s U10s played the #2 team, Cat Facts FC, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. With a final score of 4-1 Jimmy Saville’s U10s took the title! In the loss, Kevin Rademaker scored the only goal for Cat Facts FC to get his team on the board. Being one of the top two teams, Cat Facts FC was optimistic heading into the championship match, so this loss is a tough one. But they definitely have what it takes to win and we expect to see them doing well again next season. Jimmy Saville’s U10s continued their winning streak this week. Rupert Price leads Jimmy Saville’s U10s this season in scoring and added 2 goals to his stats this week bringing Rupert Price’s personal total to 8. Also scoring in this championship win was Karim Maalouf and Chris Cogbill with one goal each. Congratulations to Jimmy Saville’s U10s on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.
