Left Peg United (5-1-1) vs. INDY Team #4 (2-4-1) – Monday, January 21, 2019

In this Semi-final game, the #1 seed, Left Peg United, took on the #4 seed, INDY Team #4 and won 4-0. INDY Team #4 had a rough run this season and they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs. Bryan Campbell is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Left Peg United. Helping on the offense, Kevin Conway, Jake Schultz, and Emmett Flood were among those who scored in this playoff win for Left Peg United. KillaBytes (2-4-1) vs. KickSocks (2-3-2) – Monday, January 21, 2019

It was an exciting Semi-final match, in which the #3 seed, KillaBytes, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #2 seed, KickSocks, 2-1. Pat Swearingen scored the only goal for KickSocks to get his team on the board. KickSocks had a difficult run this season and they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs. Michael Powers and Jack Sombeck scored one goal each in this playoff win for KillaBytes, putting one shot past the KickSocks goalkeeper, Nick Guarino. In this Championship game, the #1 team, Left Peg United played the #3 team, KillaBytes, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. Left Peg United won it all by the final count of 4-0. John is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Left Peg United. Helping on the offense, Jack Coutre, Emmett Flood, Craig Pilla, and Brandon Nasatir were among those who scored in this playoff win for Left Peg United. Congratulations to Left Peg United on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. In contrast to their other game, Killabytes couldn’t string together the plays they needed for a win. Losing the championship game is never easy, but KillaBytes lost with grace. We hope to see them back next season for another chance at the title.
