KillaBytes (2-4-1) vs. KickSocks (2-3-2) – Monday, January 21, 2019
It was an exciting Semi-final match, in which the #3 seed, KillaBytes, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #2 seed, KickSocks, 2-1. Pat Swearingen scored the only goal for KickSocks to get his team on the board. KickSocks had a difficult run this season and they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs. Michael Powers and Jack Sombeck scored one goal each in this playoff win for KillaBytes, putting one shot past the KickSocks goalkeeper, Nick Guarino. Congratulations to Left Peg United on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. In contrast to their other game, Killabytes couldn’t string together the plays they needed for a win. Losing the championship game is never easy, but KillaBytes lost with grace. We hope to see them back next season for another chance at the title.
