Fall 2018 Lincoln Park Men’s Int Flag Football – Week 7

Fathers United (1-8) v. Bummin’ Flags (1-6) – Monday, December 10, and 2018

It was an exciting play-in match, in which the #9 seed, Fathers United, just barely locked in the win with a 6-point margin, 38-32, against the #8 seed, Bummin’ Flags. Fathers United really stepped up in this one, topping their average of 10.40 points per game. QB Zachary Henderson threw five scores, passing to Mack Majka for three of them and Steven Majkowski for two of them. Majkowski also threw one score to Henderson. Bummin’ Flags really brought their best in this one despite the loss, beating their average of 9.70 points per game for the season. For Bummin’ Flags, in the loss, QB Shane Kenney hit Andrew Peters for three touchdowns and Alec for one. The win for Fathers United means a ticket to quarter-finals. Them (9-0) v. Fathers United (1-8) – Monday, December 10, and 2018

Them confidently took the win to advance to Semi-Finals. Them put 41 on the board and held Fathers United to 12 points.  They really buckled down in this game, emerging victorious despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 4.8 points per game. QB Vincent Ngo passed five touchdowns, hitting Thomas, Sam, Rod, Mike, and Agha for one touchdown each. Fathers United really gave everything they had in terms of scoring in this one even though they lost, exceeding their average of 10.40 ppg for the year. In the loss, QB Zachary Henderson hit Steven Majkowski and Joe for one touchdown each. The win for Them meant a straight shot to semi-finals. Sacks in the City (7-1) v. INDY Team #4 (2-6) – Monday, December 10, and 2018

Sacks in the City, #2 seed, dominated against the #7 seed, INDY Team #4 with a final score of 50-0. They confidently took the win to advance to Semi-Finals. This team really showed up on the defensive end in this one, beating their season points against average of 5.5 points per game. QB Cody threw one score, which was caught by Taylor . This win advanced Sacks in the City to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. The exciting recap of that game is below. Unfortunately for INDY Team #4, this loss means the end of their season.

 

Dynamos (5-2) v. Roughing the Passer (2-5) – Monday, December 10, and 2018]

Looks like Roughing the Passer forfeited to Dynamos this week. Dynamos advanced to semi-finals, and without a week to rest, jumped right into it as a double header. See how they did by reading the next recap. Unfortunately for Roughing the Passer, this loss means the end of their season.

 

Show me your TD’s (3-4) v. INDY Team #7 (4-3) – Monday, December 10, and 2018

The 4th place vs 5th place game is always one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket. With a final score of 12-6, Show me your TD’s grabbed this W. This team, Show me your TD’s, showed some grit in this game, prevailing, despite scoring less than their avg. points per game of 17.00. QB Cameron Olson passed one score, which was caught by Bradley Cowan and scampered in one on his own.  During the loss for INDY Team #7, QB Jason Pereles hit Colt Halloran for one touchdown. This win advanced Show me your TD’s to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. The exciting recap of that game is below. Unfortunately for INDY Team #7, this loss means the end of their season.

 

Them (9-0) v. Show me your TD’s (3-4) – Monday, December 10, and 2018

With a final score of 27-19, Them grabbed the victory against Show me your TD’s.  They really showed some grit in this one, earning the victory despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 4.8 ppg. QB Vincent Ngo delivered three scores, with Rod on the receiving end of all of them. Show me your TD’s did everything they could on in terms of scoring in this game, exceeding their average of 17.00 points per game this year. For Show me your TD’s, QB Cameron Olson hit Wade for two touchdowns. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Them advanced to the Championship game. Sacks in the City (7-1) v. Dynamos (5-2) – Monday, December 10, and 2018

Sacks in the City, #2 seed, played Dynamos, #3 seed, in this semi-final game. By the final score of 22-8, Sacks in the City advanced to the Championship Game. These guys battled for this game, emerging victorious despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 5.5 points per game. QB Cody delivered one TD, which was caught by Tyler. The semi-final win for Sacks in the City advanced them to the championship game. Read the Championship recap below to see how they finished. This is the end of the road for Dynamos’ run in this league. There’s always next season.

 

Them (9-0) v. Sacks in the City (7-1) – Monday, December 10, and 2018

It was a Championship Game written for the movies. The #1 team, Them, played the #2 team, Sacks in the City, for the prestigious long-sleeve shirts forever capturing the moment of glory. By the score of 12-7, Them got a close win to complete the season undefeated.  These guys battled for this one, earning the W despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 4.8 points per game. QB Vincent Ngo threw one touchdown to Joe.  In the loss, QB Cody hit Max for one touchdown. Congratulations to Them on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. Being one of the top two teams, Sacks in the City was optimistic heading into the championship match, so this loss is a tough one. But they have what it takes to win, and we expect to see them doing well again next season.
