Cheeky Monkey (4-0-3) vs. Da Sleeping Bears (4-2-2) – Thursday, May 30, 2019

It was an exciting Semi-Final matches, in which the #1 seed, Cheeky Monkey, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #3 seed, Da Sleeping Bears with a final score of 2-1.  Chad and Jack were the stars in this one for Cheeky Monkey each scoring one goal to give their team the victory.    Da Sleeping Bears didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 2.1 goals per game this year. Andy Kaplan scored the only goal for Da Sleeping Bears to get their team on the board.  On the bright side for Da Sleeping Bears, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Cheeky Monkey advanced to the Championship game. Read the recap below to find out how they did.

Game of Throw-Ins (6-2) vs. It’s A Llama (5-3) – Thursday, May 30, 2019

It’s A Llama were were the higher ranked #2 seed playing the #3 seed, It’s A Llama. They just barely took the win to advance to the Championship Game. With final score of 1-0.  Nicole LaFonte was this games MVP scoring the only goal in the match giving her team Game of Throw-Ins The exciting win and advancing them to the championship game. Game of Throw-Ins (6-2) vs. Cheeky Monkey (4-0-3) – Thursday, May 30, 2019

It was a Championship Game written for the movies. Could the #2 seeded team, Game of Throw-Ins outplay the #1 seeded team, Cheeky Monkey? In this game, yes they could! With a final score of 1-0 Game of Throw-Ins got the big victory.  Nikhil score the only goal in this match helping his team to victory.  This was one of two games for Cheeky Monkey this week.  Cheeky Monkey came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table. Congratulations to Game of Throw-Ins on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.
