Broomball: Our Only Outdoor Winter Sport!
Only available one season each year, Broomball at Warren Park in Rogers Park brings together long-time league teams, college grads, and groups eager to try something new.
It’s similar to ice hockey but without skates—players wear shoes, use “brooms” instead of sticks, and play with a big ball. Soccer-inspired strategies add to the fun!

Coed 6 vs. 6 (4 Men/2 Women on the ice) - recommended 12 players on the roster
Open 6 vs. 6 (6 players on the ice - any gender) - recommended 12 players on the roster
7 guaranteed games (6 regular season games plus playoffs), team jerseys, league administration, equipment, certified referee, playoffs for qualifying teams, prizes for winners and drink and/or food specials at sponsor bar.
Each broomball team jersey set includes the following pre-bundled sizes (No exchanges): 2S, 5M, 4L, 1XL
Teams may purchase additional shirts or sizes for $5 per shirt.
LEVELS
Open
The Open level is available to all levels of play. It is "open" to everyone. It is a combination of skill levels that usually skews towards the intermediate level, depending on the sport.
