Unathletico (4-4-1) vs. INDY Team #3 (1-6-1) – Tuesday, November 03, 2020

Back in Week 5 of the regular season, these two teams tied, but Unathletico grabbed a huge 5-3 win against INDY Team #3 in this rematch in the Quarterfinals of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League. Kenny for Unathletico was the MVP of this match as they racked up a hat trick to help earn the team the victory and help them advance into the Semifinals. With this Quarterfinals win, Unathletico would stay on the field and battle with #1 seed Pilsen Kidz (7-0) in the Semifinals. More on this game below. This heartbreaking loss comes when INDY Team #3 scored their personal best of the season. The losing team still had notable players including Justin Vorndran, who knocked in a brace for INDY Team #3 to help keep their squad in this game. This Quarterfinals loss ends INDY Team #3’s season but we hope to see this squad back on the pitch next season competing for another league title!

Pilsen Kidz (7-0) vs. Unathletico (4-4-1) – Tuesday, November 03, 2020

Earning the same result as they did back in Week 2 of the regular season, Pilsen Kidz won the second go-around against Unathletico. This game finished with a final score of 7-3 in the Semifinals of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League. Let us first start with Colby Newquist of Pilsen Kidz who now has the most goals in the league with 13 goals. Colby Newquist was on fire in this Semifinals match-up and scored 4 total goals to help earn the team the victory. Erik Noriega also contributed to the team’s final score, firing in a brace to help secure this victory. Coming up on Tuesday night, Pilsen Kidz face off against the winner of the #3 seed H-Tizzy (5-2) vs. #7 seed West Grand United (2-6) game in the league Championship. This was one of two games for Unathletico this week. In contrast to their Quarterfinals game, they could not string together the plays they needed for a win and end their season in the Semifinals. The losing team still had notable players including Kenny, who scored two goals for Unathletico. While Unathletico came up just shy of making it to the Championship game, they still had a great run. We hope to see this squad back on the pitch next season competing for another league title!

West Grand United (2-6) vs. F.C. Rogues (6-2) – Tuesday, November 03, 2020

In what ended up being the biggest upset of the Quarterfinals in the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League, #7 seed West Grand United shocked #2 seed F.C. Rogues. This game finished with a final score of 3-1.  West Grand United really showed up on defense, beating their season goals against average of 5.0 goals per game. Tom Oneill fired in a brace to help gain West Grand United this Quarterfinals victory. This huge Quarterfinals victory now sees West Grand United advance into the Semifinals coming up on Tuesday night. They will take the pitch against #3 seed H-Tizzy (5-2). Winner of this game will stay on the field and take on #1 seed Pilsen Kidz (7-0) in the Championship game. Despite losing, F.C. Rogues has been doing great on offense so far, with a total of 30 goals. Unfortunately for F.C. Rogues, they could not find that offensive magic as Marco scored the only goal for F.C. Rogues in this contest. It was a fantastic overall season for this F.C. Rogues squad, and we hope to see them back on the pitch next season competing for another league title!

H-Tizzy (5-2) vs. Kenosha Kickers (1-6) – Tuesday, November 03, 2020

Grabbing the same result as they did in Week 6 to close out their regular season schedule, #3 seed H-Tizzy won the second go-around against #6 seed Kenosha Kickers. This game finished with a final score of 8-0 in the Quarterfinals of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League. Six different players tallied their names onto the scorer’s sheet for H-Tizzy in this contest, led by Zachary Harris and Stephen who each lasered in two goals to pace the clubs’ attack. Shout-out to the H-Tizzy goalkeeper, Ben, for the Quarterfinals shutout! This huge win advances H-Tizzy into the Semifinals coming up on Tuesday night where they will take the pitch against #7 seed West Grand United (2-6). Winner of this game will stay on the field and battle with #1 seed Pilsen Kidz (7-0) in the league Championship game. Kenosha Kickers struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this one and came short of making it onto the scoreboard. While this is certainly not the way Kenosha Kickers were looking to end their season, they still battled hard each week. We hope to see this squad back on the pitch next season competing for another league title.
