Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Outdoor Soccer League Recap – Week 5

Daddy FC (4-1) vs. Rooney’s Angels (4-1) – Tuesday, October 27, 2020

Grabbing some revenge from their Week 3 loss, Daddy FC won the rematch against Rooney’s Angels in Week 5 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Soccer League. This game finished with a thrilling final score of 4-3. Daddy FC seems to have found their groove and have now won two games in a row. James fired in a brace to help earn the club this crucial W, which now gives Daddy FC an opportunity to lock up the overall #1 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament. That opportunity for Daddy FC will come in Week 6 when they take the pitch against Ten Forty Six Kicks (0-5-0) in their regular season finale. This was Rooney’s Angels’s first loss of the season, but it did not impact their #1 ranking in the league as they still hold the better goal differential over Daddy FC. The losing team still had notable players including John Moderwell, who knocked in one goal for Rooney’s Angels in this contest. Next up for Rooney’s Angels is a match-up against INDY Team #1 (2-3-0) coming up in Week 6, as they attempt to rebound from this heartbreaking defeat and lock in the overall #1 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament.
