Spring 2021 Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer – Week 3

Team Attestation Waivers (3-0) vs. Torts Illistrated (0-2-1) – Wednesday, April 7, 2021

Team Attestation Waivers earned its third-consecutive victory in Week 3 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC-INT 8v8 Soccer League when it took down Torts Illistrated 2-0. Colin Clancy and Ethan Chaplinsky each earned their first goals of the season for Team Attestation Waivers in this one while goalkeeper Jeff Carpenter recorded their second clean sheet of the season. Winning all their games so far this season, Team Attestation Waivers seem to be the team to try to beat. Coming up in Week 4, Team Attestation Waivers will attempt to stay perfect with a pairing versus 2 goals 1 cup (2-1-0). Torts Illistrated were unable to get rolling on the offensive end in this one and came short of making it onto the scoreboard for the second straight week. Torts Illistrated will attempt to put a 1 in the win column coming up in Week 4 when they take the pitch against Them (2-1-0).

 

Trailblazers FC (1-1-1) vs. Kick in a Box (1-2) – Wednesday, April 7, 2021

Mike Goldberg tallied their third goal of the season and GK Mike Coutre made save after save as Trailblazers FC picked up their first victory of the season, 1-0 over Kick in a Box, in Week 3 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC-INT 8v8 Soccer League. Trailblazers FC really showed some toughness in this battle, earning the win, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 1.3.  Trailblazers FC moved into a tie for third place in the League Standings with 4 points, just 5 points behind first placed ESPN: The Ocho and Team Attestation Waivers. Tambourine Band (0-3-0) are next up on the docket for Trailblazers FC coming up in Week 4, as they look to keep it going. Kick in a Box were unable to get rolling in this one and suffered their second shutout of the season. Je Ne Sais Quoi (1-2-0) is next up on the docket for Kick in a Box coming up in Week 4, as they look to get back on track.

 

2 goals 1 cup (2-1) vs. Tambourine Band (0-3) – Wednesday, April 7, 2021

2 goals 1 cup defeated Tambourine Band 4-1 in Week 3 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC-INT 8v8 Soccer League for their second victory of the season. Four different players accounted for the quartet of goals for 2 goals 1 cup in this one. Sky Anselm added on top of their goal count for the season while Alyssa Soulis, Jeff Kinka and Paige Kerwin scored their first goals of the campaign to help 2 goals 1 cup secure all three points. Next up for 2 goals 1 cup is a crucial match-up versus Team Attestation Waivers (3-0-0) coming up in Week 4. Tambourine Band really did not have their best showing on D in this one, giving up more goals than their average of 2.3 goals against per game for the year. Ryan Skaggs scored the only goal for Tambourine Band to get their team on the board. Tambourine Band seeks to get their first point(s) of the season with a match-up against Trailblazers FC (1-1-1) coming up in Week 4.

 

Clown FC (1-1-1) vs. Grass Kickers (1-1-1) – Wednesday, April 7, 2021

Clown FC and Grass Kickers could not settle anything after 40 minutes, playing to a 0-0 draw in Week 3 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC-INT 8v8 Soccer League. With no goals to add to their season total, this week’s game drops Grass Kickers’s average to 1 goal per game. For Grass Kickers next they take on Koi & the Klapper’s (1-2-0) coming up in Week 4 as they seek to record their second victory of the season. GK Jonathan Anderson deserves much of the credit for the hard-earned point for Clown FC in this one as they stopped every shot that came their way. Exiting week 3, Clown FC looks ahead to ESPN: The Ocho (3-0-0) who are next on the docket.

 

Them (2-1) vs. Je Ne Sais Quoi (1-2) – Wednesday, April 7, 2021

Them had their best offensive performance of the season in Week 3 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC-INT 8v8 Soccer League as they took down Je Ne Sais Quoi by a final score of 4-1. Them really brought their A game in this game, topping their average of 2.0 goals per game. Eddie Maynard was on fire for Them in this contest, racking up a hat trick to help earn the group their second victory of the season. The win now sees Them sitting in a tie for second place in the League Standings with six points. Next up for Them is a match-up versus Torts Illistrated (0-2-1) coming up in Week 4. Je Ne Sais Quoi did not have their best stuff in this one, scoring less than their average of 1.7 goals per game for the season. Lauren Michalec scored the only goal for Je Ne Sais Quoi in this one to get their team on the board. Next up for Je Ne Sais Quoi is a match-up against Kick in a Box (1-2-0) coming up in Week 4, as they attempt to snap their two-game losing streak.

 

ESPN: The Ocho (3-0) vs. Koi & the Klapper’s (1-2) – Wednesday, April 7, 2021

ESPN: The Ocho took down Koi & the Klapper’s 3-1 in Week 3 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC-INT 8v8 Soccer League. ESPN: The Ocho continued their winning streak in Week 3 and are officially on fire. ESPN: The Ocho were led offensively by Ryan Teich, Matt Stigler and Jimmy Fiscus who each scored one goal to help gain the team their third straight victory. The win makes it 9 out of a possible 9 points to begin the season for ESPN: The Ocho and sees them sitting atop the League Standings board with Team Attestation Waivers. Coming up in Week 4, ESPN: The Ocho take on Clown FC (1-1-1) in an attempt to remain undefeated. Koi & the Klapper’s were unable to get rolling on the offensive end in this game, scoring less than their average of 2.3 goals per game this season. Kyle Robson scored the only goal for Koi & the Klapper’s to save them from a shutout. Grass Kickers (1-1-1) is next up on the calendar for Koi & the Klapper’s coming up in Week 4, as they try to bounce back from this defeat.
