Team Chicago (4-3) vs. Save the Knees (3-2-1) – Tuesday, April 27, 2021

Team Chicago scored a Week 6 league-high six goals en route to a 6-2 victory over Save the Knees in Week 6 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed 8v8 Soccer League. Team Chicago continued their winning streak this week and are officially on fire! Joseph Cuellar and Chase each fired in a brace to guide the Team Chicago attack in this one. With the win, Team Chicago clinches the overall #3 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament. Team Chicago will begin their postseason journey coming up on Tuesday night against #6 seed Daddy FC (1-4-1) in the Quarterfinals. Despites losing, Save the Knees has been doing great on offense this season, with a total of 23 goals. The losing team still had notable players including Molly Murphy and Max Taylor, who each kicked in one goal for Save the Knees. With this Week 6 loss, Save the Knees will now begin their postseason campaign on Tuesday, May 11th as the overall #2 seed. They will take on the winner of the #3 seed Team Chicago (4-3-0) vs. #6 seed Daddy FC (1-4-1) match in the Semifinals.

 

Rooney’s Angels (5-1) vs. INDY Team #5 (1-3-2) – Tuesday, April 27, 2021

Rooney’s Angels saw three different players score goals as Rooney’s Angels capped their regular season schedule with a 5-1 victory over INDY Team #5 in Week 6 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed 8v8 Soccer League. Rooney’s Angels have a lot of scoring power. They are averaging 4 goals per game. John tallied a hat trick to steer the Rooney’s Angels attack in this one. With this Week 6 victory, Rooney’s Angels finishes the regular season portion of their schedule with 15 total points and the overall #1 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament. They will begin their postseason journey coming up on Tuesday night in the Semifinals against the winner of the #4 seed Game of Throw-In’s (2-2-2) vs. #5 seed INDY Team #5 (1-3-2) match. Mitchell Lewis scored the only goal for INDY Team #5 to get their team on the board against Rooney’s Angels. INDY Team #5 had to shake off this loss quickly as they needed to step right back onto the pitch and take on Daddy FC as they had the Week 6 double header on their slate. More on this game below.

 

INDY Team #5 (1-3-2) vs. Daddy FC (1-4-1) – Tuesday, April 27, 2021

Daddy FC forfeited and handed a free win to INDY Team #5 in Week 6 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed 8v8 Soccer League as Daddy FC could not field enough starters to play a legal game. INDY Team #5 had two games this week and walked away with a solid split. This win moves INDY Team #5 into the overall #5 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament. They will begin their postseason journey cojming up in Tuesday night in the Quarterfinals against #4 seed Game of Throw-Ins (2-2-2). The winner of this match will stay on the pitch and immediately take on #1 seed Rooney’s Angles in the Semifinals. Daddy FC had to put this loss behind them quickly as they needed to step right back onto the pitch and take on Game of Throw-Ins as they also had a double header on their slate in Week 6. Game of Throw-In’s (2-2-2) vs. Daddy FC (1-4-1) – Tuesday, April 27, 2021

Daddy FC once again could not pull together enough players for this game and had to forfeit to Game of Throw-In’s in Week 6 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed 8v8 Soccer League. This is the second week in a row Game of Throw-In’s took home the win. As a result of this victory, Game of Throw-Ins secured the overall #4 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament. They will begin their playoff journey coming up on Tuesday night against #5 seed INDY Team #5 (1-3-2) in the Quarterfinals. The winner of this match will stay on the pitch and immediately take on #1 seed Rooney’s Angels (5-1) in the Semifinals. The two losses for Daddy FC in Week 6 pushed them down into the #6 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament. They will begin their postseason campaign coming up on Tuesday night against #3 seed Team Chicago (4-3-0) in the Quarterfinals.
