Spring 2021 Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Soccer – Week 3

Rooney’s Angels (3-0) vs. Save the Knees (1-1-1) – Tuesday, April 6, 2021

Rooney’s Angels remain unbeaten as they came away with a 5-2 victory over Save the Knees in Week 3 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Soccer League. Rooney’s Angels continued their hot start to the season this week and are now officially on fire! Dino Kandalepas scored two goals to guide the Rooney’s Angels attack. Three other players tallied their names onto the scorer’s sheet for Rooney’s Angels to help secure this huge Week 3 victory. Coming up in Week 4, Rooney’s Angels faces off against Game of Throw-In’s (1-1-1) in an attempt to stay undefeated. This is Save the Knees first loss of the season. The losing team still had notable players including Max Taylor and John Ostrowski, who each scored one goal for Save the Knees to help keep their squad in this game. INDY Team #5 (0-1-1) is next up on the schedule for Save the Knees coming up in Week 4 as they look to get back into the winner’s circle.

 

Game of Throw-In’s (1-1-1) vs. Team Chicago (1-3) – Tuesday, April 6, 2021

Earning their first win of the season, Game of Throw-In’s beat Team Chicago 3-2 in Week 3 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Soccer League. Game of Throw-In’s stepped up in this game, besting their average of 2.3 goals per game. Nick Castelvecchi scored their first two goals of the season to lead the Game of Throw-Ins attack in this one. Rooney’s Angels (3-0-0) are next up on the calendar for Game of Throw-In’s coming up in Week 4, as they look to record back-to-back victories. Team Chicago really did not have their best stuff on the offensive end in this one, scoring less than their average of 4.8 goals per game this year. The losing team still had notable players including Brian Keenan and Nik Keenan, who each fired in one goal for Team Chicago. Daddy FC (1-1-1) is next up on the schedule for Team Chicago coming up in Week 4, as they attempt to rebound from this disappointing defeat.

 

Daddy FC (1-1-1) vs. INDY Team #5 (0-1-1) – Tuesday, April 6, 2021

Daddy FC settled for a 2-2 draw with INDY Team #5 in Week 3 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Soccer League. This week’s result puts Daddy FC in a three-way tie for second place in the League Standings with 4 total points. Marwan Mahrous and Andrew Witherspoon each scored one goal to provide the offense for Daddy FC in this one. Exiting week 3, Daddy FC will look ahead to Team Chicago (1-3-0) who are next on the calendar coming up in Week 4. This is INDY Team #5’s first tie (and point) this season and they’re currently sitting at the bottom of the League Table after two matches. In the tie, Julian Romano and Chris Faxel each kicked in one goal for INDY Team #5 to help their squad earn the well-deserved point. For INDY Team #5 next up is Save the Knees (1-1-1) coming up in Week 4.
