The win sees The Sidewinders sitting on six points and in a three-way tie for first place in the League Standings. Top Dawgs (2-1) vs. INDY Team #5 (1-1) – Thursday, April 8, 2021

Top Dawgs triumphed 6-0 over INDY Team #5 in Week 3 of the Thursday Hawthorne TURF Coed 8v8 Soccer League. Five different players found the back of the net for Top Dawgs in this one. Bryan Bappert led the way for Top Dawgs, supplying a brace to help seal their first win of the season. The Top Dawgs goalkeeper, Andres Mata, is credited with the clean sheet. Top Dawgs could not celebrate their first victory of the season for too long however as they needed to step right back onto the pitch and take on Old & Slow All-Stars as they had a double header on their schedule in Week 3. More on this game below. INDY Team #5 struggled to get anything going on the offensive side of the ball in this contest, being held scoreless for the first time this season. Old & Slow All-Stars (2-1-0) are next up on the schedule for INDY Team #5 coming up in Week 4, as they attempt to rebound from this lopsided defeat.

 

Top Dawgs (2-1) vs. Old & Slow All-Stars (2-1) – Thursday, April 8, 2021

Top Dawgs and Old & Slow All-Stars participated in a nail-biter up to the last minute with a final score of 3-2 in Week 3 of the Hawthorne TURF Coed 8v8 Soccer League. This week, Top Dawgs came ready for a double header. Incredibly, they won both matches, which means they are officially heating up! Bryan Bappert led the way offensively once again for Top Dawgs in this one as they scored a hat trick to help get the team the win. Next up for Top Dawgs is a throwdown against ball sports (0-3-0) coming up in Week 4 as they look for their third straight win. This is Old & Slow All-Stars’s first loss of the season, but it did not impact their #1 ranking in the league as they are now in a three-way tie for first place with six total points. The losing team still had notable players including Michael Flanagan, who tallied their league-leading 9th goal of the season. Next up for Old & Slow All-Stars is a showdown against INDY Team #5 (1-1-0), as they attempt to put this disappointing loss behind them.
