Earning their first win of the season, INDY Team #5 beat INDY Team #6 by a final score of 5-3 in Week 6 of the Monday Wells TURF Men’s 7v7 Soccer League. INDY Team #5 brought their A game in this one, topping their average of 1.7 goals per game. Michael Menos recorded a brace for INDY Team #5 to help gain the team their first victory of the season. INDY Team #5 will begin their postseason journey as the overall #6 seed and will take the field coming up on Monday night against #3 seed Vitamin O (4-2) in the Quarterfinals. The winner of this match will stay on the field and immediately take on #2 seed Beercelona (4-2) in the Quarterfinals. Even though they faced losing, INDY Team #6 certainly gave it their all to stop INDY Team #5, giving up fewer than their average of 6.8 goals against per game for the year. The losing team still had notable players including Gordon Schlicht, who scored one goal for INDY Team #6. Winner of this game will stay on the pitch and immediately take on #1 seed Cacatuas FC (5-1) in the Semifinals. Vitamin O had an opportunity to clinch the overall #1 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament, but their Week 6 loss pushes them down into the overall #3 seed.
