Monday Wells High School Men’s 7v7 Outdoor Soccer League Recap – Week 1
Cacatuas FC (1-0) vs. Beercelona (0-1) – Monday, September 21, 2020
Juan Pablo Garza tallied a hat trick to lead Cacatuas FC in a thrilling 5-3 victory over Beercelona on opening night of the Monday Wells High School TURF Men’s 7v7 Soccer League. Carlos Ramirez and Michael Scott also tallied a goal apiece for Cactuas FC in this contest to help secure the crucial week 1 victory. Exiting week 1, Cacatuas FC will look ahead to keep their early season momentum rolling. Coming up in week 2 Cacatuas FC will line-up against Vitamin O (1-0-0) with first place in the standings table on the line. Even though they lost, Beercelona have a lot of opportunities remaining to practice their offensive and defensive skills before the play-offs begin. Beercelona still had notable players including Gewargis Samuel, Daniel Garcia and Gewargis Samuel who all tallied one goal apiece to keep their squad in this game. For Beercelona they will have a contest with INDY Team #5 (0-2-0) coming up in week 2 as they try to come back from this opening night defeat.
Vitamin O Yeah (1-0) vs. INDY Team #5 (0-2) – Monday, September 21, 2020
On Monday evening in opening night action of the Monday Wells High School TURF Men’s 7v7 Soccer League, Vitamin O Yeah had five different players find the back of the net, led by a hat trick by Will Teichman, in rolling past INDY Team #5 9-0. Vitamin O Yeah took control of the match against INDY Team #5 right from the opening kick-off as they forced early saves by INDY Team #5 goalkeeper Joe Hnilo. Hunter Somers and Robert Johnson would eventually break through for Vitamin O Yeah and each would tally a brace to help secure this easy week 1 victory. For Vitamin O Yeah, each game moving forward is a critical chance to get cruising from the jump. INDY Team #5 struggled mightily on both ends of the pitch, but it is only week one. There is plenty of time for them to get better as the season rolls along. This was one of two games for INDY Team #5 in week 1. More on their second game below.

Ryan Geidner and Michael Deremo each racked up a hat trick to help gain the club the huge week 1 victory. INDY Team #5 had two games this week. Disappointingly, they lost both matches and increased their total goal differential to -20. Mehdi Aantar scored the only goal for INDY Team #5 to prevent the shutout. For Vitamin O, every contest is a big game to gain ground in the Standings at the beginning of the year. Cacatuas FC (1-0-0) are next on the schedule for Vitamin O in a huge week 2 battle with first place in the league standings on the line. As for INDY Team #5 they will have a pairing against Beercelona (0-1-0) as they look to bounce back from these two week 1 defeats.
